I'll give you 1m55s watch time of the first 10 minutes and if it's not catching me then NEXT.
Exactly. I'm retired and don't have all the couch time to watch that some people do.
No offense, but this is hilarious.
Math checks out.
Earlier this evening, someone posted a link to Joe Arpaio's conference where he presented the fraud of Obama's birth certificate. It was over an hour long, and I watched most of it until I decided to check if it was current. It was from 2016! I still didn't know about it, and it was relevant, but it would have been helpful if the OP had let everyone know that it was from five years ago!
In the future, I will be very cautious about watching embedded videos. I will instead click the link and go to the actual hosting site...so I can get additional information.
Yeah, a lot of knuckleheads do that sort of thing;
Not only that, as a presenter of long experience I am wary of long videos. My experience is that anyone who knows their subject can condense it into a matter of sentences or a paragraph. The gist should appear within the first 5 minutes. The longer the presentation, with no advertised outline, the more it becomes a wandering hobby horse.
I am also suspicious on the grounds that one can READ material about 3 to 5 times faster than one can listen to it. All this focus on videos reveals to me a sad illiteracy of our society and the inability to be cogent.
I especially disdain the "Dude, check out this video" attitude, with no information as to who, what, when, how, or where---as though my time was as worthless as your time.
Excellent points. I usually browse here while watching something else or hanging out with family. I’d much prefer written format over video.
Keep those long videos coming. I listen to them all day at work.
Love the long videos, but preferably want to avoid a 5-hour rick roll.

thanks!
Good point. Clue us in on what it is about because most people won’t have the time to spare, at least immediately. We may want to return to it later when we have more time if we have a good description of it.
If they don't have an explanation I ignore all vidios.
This can't be stated strongly enough, I've watched a 5 hour clip before because the description.
I don't care if it's a time stamp of 5-10 min, a description or why people should take the time. Some days there might be 10hrs of video posted in a day, that's not possible for most (even at 1.5x).
No shit
I see YouTube in a post, I scroll right on by
These are the same people who reference a happening without providing a link and then chide you with not knowing how to use google.
Wow this is great...lol. in all seriousness yes i agree. Please give us the tldr to at least let us know you know what it is and we may actually want more info
THIS!!! I see a video link with no additional text context and I skip it.
Content creators trying to push their content for views.
I don't think I've watched a Youtube video for longer than 10 minutes. Ever. It's such an inefficient format.
I love watching Clif High, but I don't just throw a link at people and expect them to know what the hell is going on.
It helps if you speed the videos up and watch at 1.5 speed or something, but I 100% agree. Give us a hint of what let’s good and where it is, please.
Editing is divine in the New World.
this is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o-i-09gHX4 also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEBPaW2Qb08&t
I got sucked into all these videos years ago. Went down so many rabbit holes. Now it really has to interest me to get through more then 5 minutes of anything now. I have become very selective now.
That's all it was... for 90 minutes. It won 8 Oscars that year!
