Very depressing times. I frequently traveled to Germany over a ten year period up to 2015, and just recently thought I would not be able to do this in current times. The company I used to work for is headquartered in Munich. The liberal media has done much to destroy christian morals and values globally. We have this same problem in the US, but have several outlets that provide conservative viewpoints (Real Americas Voice, Newsmax). I agree the mass media and Merkel have not done Germany any favors. Immigration policies have had disastrous effects, and lack of border enforcement in the US will yield the same kind of issues. History does have a habit of repeating itself and it is quite terrifying.
Munich before 2015 was one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Since Merkel opened the floodgates and Bavarians elected an authoritarian prime minister things have changed a lot. Bavaria had and has the strictest Covid rules in Germany with temporary curfews and police controlling and fining people who dared to leave their homes before 6 am. Totally crazy. I always wanted to live in Bavaria, now I am glad I never moved.
