I remember when the "HR" dept became a thing in the mid 90's. Before that it was the personnel dept. They took care of question you had, did the paperwork that was needed to get people hired, administered benefits, posted added in the paper, and took care of planning moral things like parties and picnics. Now HR has more power than the CEO of the fucking company and they're all run by leftist and fags. They control the gate to who even gets hired and manager have zero say over them! HR needs to go along with the cancer that infest everyone of these departments.

So I've witnessed the "progression" from the name change from P -> HR to the sad state of things now (how many times a year do I have to take how many stupid trainings about sex harassement, diversity, etc?? How many stupid emails do we get about optional trainings - several per week typically - am I being tracked for never doing them - I could attend about all this??).
(Regarding SHP/diversity shit - I'm frankly offended I have to do this. Just like a damn breathalizer for everyone to start their car - how about AFTER I show there's a problem, I get punished, rather than fucking insulted by this crap?)

I smoke and live in a blue community of NYS, so have run into many "Karens" from a long ways back. The amazing thing is their lack of boundaries---they feel entitled to make rude comments or gestures on any behavior not considered socially acceptable at the time. But, lately I've appreciated their presence in my life, since they "toughened" me to stand up for myself (Vaxx, anyone?) and blow off their comments. My wife's mother's name ("mother-in-law" -barf) is actually Karen. I promise you and everyone here, you have fucking NAILED IT! My wife would have been the 2.0 (and there still remains a little work to be done there) Karen. Both of us are elder millenials. I'm 36, she's 32.
My wife's extended family consists of a gaggle of emotionally abusive aunts, along with her divorced mother, Karen. The neo-con aunt is AARP age and never had children and has a cucked 75 year old husband. She seems the nicest at first but holds child-like grudges and assumes the role of the gaggle's "sage advisor" though never experienced parenthood. The other 2 aunts are the "we don't watch the news" NPCs. They did reproduce. One of the aunts runs a charter school in south florida. Yes, it's extremely worrysome but lucky for us I got my wife out of there so our two kids won't be abducted by these harpies. The principal aunt has three daughters (wife's cousins) now in their mid-thirties. One is a "lesbian" who thinks shes 7 and shacked up with this 20 year old (14 year age difference)humpty-dumpty-bull-dyke-looking creature who announced their brave transition into manhood a couple years back. Another daughter of similar age moved to cali maybe 10 years ago to work in the film industry and has been completely lobotomized by it. Complains she can't find a good man but says men are the root of all that is destructive. The last one, similar in age is the "baby" and she exploits it to the fullest. All expenses paid trip through life without a rudder and says she's an "environmentalist" because she got fired from a "walk around and check sea turtle nests" job for repeat tardiness and absences.
There's one more aunt but she's not like the rest. She does make reckless and whimsical life decisions that do negatively affect her adopted 14 year old daughter. And yes, she too has two adult millenial children. Both have mental disorders that nobody will mention or even entertain as real. This may come as a shock to everyone here, but not a single fucking o e of them has children or even show the slightest prospect of having children while all claiming they want children. They are all morbidly obese. They do not have careers but rather, their principal mother appoints them as "teachers" of elementary school kids. Which one of them has a failing class currently by her own words. They assume control over me and my kids. Well, they TRIED. Almost had a divorce over it but (thank god for this)my wife actually has listening ears. They would steal my kid's Christmas day by making us load up and drive down 3 hours+ to have us all sit in a covid tent outside, in a big circle, where each one of the 27 people there would open one of their 14 gifts. One at a time. Spending about 5 minutes oogling over the material and making you swear fealty to the one who provided you with this material object. All day long and into the night(not caring about my kid's bed-time). Making sure to take like 6 food breaks during the exhausting amazon dot com Christmas. This was the second year with the covid tent. The first year my wife and I declined going if masks were mandatory (love that girl). After some attempts at low-effort shaming, the cowards did what cowards do best. They caved. We showed up, all 4 of us, to a covid tent full of faceless "family" members for our two small children to be frightened by. We were the chillest people there and they hated that fact.
This year I did not attend but my wife and kids did. However, the purpose was so my wife could attend as an "emissary" of a fracturing house to secede from the commune (their overbearing control over EVERYTHING). They do not like me. They think I'm "ripping the family apart" because I "brainwashed" my wife. All I ever did was stand up for myself and if you're with the right person, that's all you need to do. So this was a test for her (wife) too. That way they could not claim that shes only doing/saying this or that because I'm there and I "wouldn't approve". Guess who all wasn't masked up. None of them wore masks. But the covid tent was still there (why? Lol). All of them vaxxed ofc. However most lacked their booster which made them unvaxxed. Oh boy did that cause a stir when that was mentioned. None of them had an answer as to when they were getting it.
So yeah, I never had to speak a single word to them over the past couple years. I just didnt let them bully me and I was the change I wanted to see. Not aggressive. Only spoke when spoken to. Yeah that's a tough one. I try not to make overt statements of disapproval to those I feel are affected by this sickness. Only when the opportunity presents itself. like they direct a question or something toward me I'll answer with impunity which SHOULD start a discussion but likely will end with them shutting down the convo using one of several "conversation avoiding" tactics. Other times i'll only engage by asking simple questions to get them to explain their talking points. Yes they will become agitated. Just keep doing it whenever you can without becoming defensive. Truth doesn't need to be defended, only lies do. It's a long process and may never work.
I think they key is to never become agitated or visibly upset over over the things they say and do. Part of that whole ideology mkaes these people unhappy and angry by design. Except they think it stems from people like us. You will not be able to verbally change their minds on that. It took many years for us all to get to this point so the reversal process, if possible, could too.
