Do the cops know that hiding their eyes is an extremely off-putting and threatening non-verbal gesture? I hate when cops wear dark sunglasses. Notice the difference between the leader (with yellow tinted glasses where you can see his eyes, and the other goos hiding their eyes.
Intimidation and or dehumanization factor.
Cops wear dark glasses or mirror glasses so you cannot see where they are looking. Seldom are they looking in your eyes. They are looking at your hands, your companions and all around--if they are wise. It's not the cops, the problem is with the lawmakers. I do believe the cops should take a stand against communism!
I have family and friends in law enforcement, and I understand why they need to hide their eyes. The real problem is that people no longer respect their fellow humans, and law enforcement... so the 10 percent of humans who are wild animals ruin it for the rest of us and what used to be a mutual respect between communities and law enforcement. So, I get it as to why they wear the dark glasses... but I also think that there are too many LE professionals who abuse their role and authority, and they like being aloof and intimidating. I think it's Arnold Schwarzenegger's fault... you know... Terminator glasses
