There was an article in my Voice of the Martyrs magazine a few yrs ago about an India Indian girl who I think was 12 or 13 and on death row because a man’s wife caught him raping this girl on her walk home from school and the wife dragged the girl to the police by the hair and demanded that she be stoned to death if I remember correctly for adultery. The parents were pleading with our government for help to save their daughter.
Multiply by millions of people with this pent up wish for vigilantist action, times decades it’s been building up.
My first worry is the state of the world where this kind of thing is now to be expected - normal if you will.
My second is that when the dam breaks every stone will be turned and we will be knee deep in blood and guts for a bit of time while streets turn red (and some back rooms)
