Or could it be a ruse? Leak that you want to scrap covid restrictions so you look reasonable. But before you can a new variant is “discovered” and they act like they are begrudgingly extending the restrictions.
Each time you lockdown, lockdown a little harder than you did before. Each time you open up, open up a little less than you did before. That seems to be the strategy.
That hasn't really been happening here to be honest.
Like most things associated with the government in the UK, they couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.
It's our fail-safe mechanism of last resort against tyranny - government departments are utterly useless wastes of money with no real competence.
Could well be. As another post said today on here. they are on the ropes, be on alert and watch for the next incoming punch. On the other hand, March is when the annual flu starts to die off so its a good point in time to corroborate the numbers of cases reducing and end restrictions. Will be interesting to see how this news affects what's going on in Europe as the French are voting on mandatory passes, Greece have started fining over 65s who are not 'vaxxed' and Austria is to go full fascist by Feb 1st fining all those monthly not vaccinated.
This is what I was thinking. Didn’t Pfizer say they were releasing the new omicron vaccine in March?
Just in time?
Why not immediately? Need to kill or mame more first?
Boris Johnson may have become aware of the "Big & Tall" scaffold being erected at Gitmo. :>)
It's rated for over 500 lbs... and has a hair grooming station.
Look at that bright red folder he's holding
If they'll lie about 15 days, they'll lie about 2 months. This better not placate people because that seems like the intention
What's a curb?
Done away with........"Kicked to the Curb"........out of the way, done.
a restriction. A word used in the UK often to describe being stopped from doing something or reduced in some capacity. e.g. you need to curb your alcohol intake (not you personally obviously) :)
websters dictionary says it's a "check or restraint"
Why wait? Scotland is ditching everything by Next Monday. Once again why wait?
