I stopped reading after the second sentence. To be miserable? I have worked for the last 40 years and I can't remember ever thinking I was miserable. The trick is find something you enjoy doing. I can't count all the lives I have saved, the feeling you get is not misery, like the first poster said, its pride.
I did not take from the topic starter, that to work is to be miserable. Its not the work. A lot of people are missing that I think. Its the fact that you HAVE to. A cog in their machine regardless of how many lives you save or how happy you are doing it. You are serving their purpose. I completely get that. If you look at it that way, which is reality, you can make yourself miserable. You can also look at it your way. Enjoy your work and take pride in it. I call it institutionalized in my other reply. I am not insulting you, as I mentioned below as I am the same exact way.
I think you pretty much just said it. The OP would probably not consider traveling and seeing the world as work. I would not but I get what YOU are saying. You cannot sit idle. I certainly would not ever want to. I would like the freedom to enter other fields that may help people even though I cannot financially afford it. Rewarding work.
Working is not the issue. Having to stick to the current regimen is. Imagine if we could simply work on what we wanted to for the betterment of man kind and not be in the system for the bettermentof those in power.
This is by far the best reply in this topic. YOU GET IT. Most folks reading the OP statement think they do not want to work and that he/she is lazy. Then they want to tell you how much they love their jobs. My guess is no matter how many "love" their jobs they would not do it as often or work for the current boss they work for if they were truly being honest. Some would. A very, very, very small amount.
I love what I do, always have. Yes, it’s physically difficult at times. It’s mentally challenging too and I don’t make a lot of money. Even so, I wouldn’t wish to be doing anything different cuz I LOVE IT.
Well, your problem is mental. Demoralized is the term the communist used. And its intended.
There's a few way to help you. The best imo, is realizing that even the 'most productive person', Musk, Trump, Soros, is literally also scum on a cosmic scale.
The highest example other compare you to is just a slightly more effective primate, on a speck of a planet.
So, cheer up, be an Edgar Allen Poe, lament till you are satiated, then do something else.
If you don't want to work, be a parent - and the best parent you can be. If you don't want to have children or work, then find something that makes you useful - or you will die miserable and alone.
No, but maybe someday. And I flip things and resell for income. I just don’t want an actual job with a boss. I love being independent and finding things to sell. It’s so much fun and I enjoy it.
Truth. This entire thing is a scam. We want freedom we need a car. You want a car you need to pay for it. You fall in love and have children. You need to provide. Most of us are stuck in a profession that we do to pay the bills. There are some blessed folks out there that convince themselves that they love what they do so it does not seem like work. But it is work. You cant stop. There really is no way out. It is not the work part that bothers me. Its the "you can't stop part". You have 2 choices. Convince yourself that you do like what you do. 2. Go off the grid somewhere that you can survive off the land. Hard and I dunno if its even doable. I have been working full time for 37 years. At this point in time its like being institutionalized. You don't even know what to do with yourself if not at work.
If people didn't work, who would stock the shelves at the supermarket, who would bring the goods to market, who would staff the hospital, who would cut lumber to build homes, where would we fill ours cars with fuel? Should all these products be offered for free or not offered at all. Without people working we would quickly devolve in to a 3rd world nation. Spend some time over in Africa living in a grass hut and get back with us, let us know if you changed your mind.
I contemplate this everyday, it’s like you wrote down my thoughts for me. The last few weeks have been more of a struggle to get through. It’s even harder when you look around and realize the huge lie we’ve all been sold. When you’re awake to the corruption, the lies, the matrix - it’s hard to just go with the flow. I’m tired of this and my job specifically is actual bullshit. Like, it’s imaginary. I’m in finance and the way I see it when I really step back and look is my job serves no purpose other than moving imaginary funds around, investing imaginary money in a made up system to make the rich richer. My job literally does no good and was made up by society. It’s all bogus. How do we get out of it? We’re trapped.
Before taxes it wasn’t so necessary to work constantly. Farmers would only work part of the year sometimes.
I’m going to assume based on what you said, you’re a lady. And I think it’s natural for ladies to be more home oriented than career oriented. And if you do want to work entrepreneurship and self employed freedom or even contracting might be a better fit for you especially if it’s work from home.
I’m sorry it’s like this. I hate our government too. I pray God bless you with the knowledge and wisdom for financial freedom.
They created a system where you have to pay property tax on things you already own, then they make it difficult to choose an off grid life where you can avoid taxes. I don’t think most people would mind tending their own homestead to provide for their families, but having to work for money to send to the government to prop it up is a problem.
In the Book of Genesis, God planted the forbidden tree into the middle of the garden. He told the innocent human couple that they shall not eat its fruits or they shall die.
By putting sparkling lights and an “eat me” table on it, God made the tree easy to recognise. Still, he wasn’t sure that the humans possessed the required brain capacity themselves to eat the fruit. Since he does not throw dice, he set up the sneaky Snake for convincing them.
After his plan had been executed, God asked Adam and Eve what they were expecting as a punishment.
“We were expecting death, even though we had no idea what death might be. Would you please enlighten us?”, said Adam.
“Ha-ha. Sure, you will die at the end. But not now. That would be too quick. I have another idea. Before you die you’ll have to work for your food. I’ll make it so hard that you’ll become hurt and frustrated again and again.”
Now, you don’t have to be Christian or Jewish to grasp this. You don’t have to believe it at all.
What you have to understand is that one of the oldest and the most influential book of the human history states on its first page that working for your food is the punishment that God has given humanity in addition to the death. It’s a curse. It’s the symbol of the broken connection between the Creator and the Creature.
This isn’t quite a proper telling of the biblical record, you should read the original.
Please also know that in Jesus, God has redeemed us for a renewed life. We are free from fallen from perfection curses and death.
God’s 1st commands are to love Him (serve God and follow His wisdom and morals for our own good) and love one another (and love our husband/wife as our own selves).
There are a lot of things wrong with our current society that is a sin against one another. Taxes, inflation, bad food, bad medicine. I’m a young adult too and I know it’s a lot. Best I can say for now maybe, pursue personal freedom best you can. Learn and try to become financially as feee as you can. Get connected with people who are also on that wavelength. May God bless you will strength and peace and purpose.
My grandfather had five sons. He owned a small farm that two of his sons had bought for him after he had lived as a sharecropper raising them for years. He worked hard on that farm often with just mules and a plow.
My father and one uncle bought that land. Why just the two? Because they were the ones that had the work ethic to get off their dead ass and get it.
The other three weren't worth a fuck. They sucked the life out of the old man without even a thought of how hard his life had been to keep food on their table and clothes on their back.
There are a lot of good people like my father and uncle that just do whats right to provide for themselves and their families. There are also a lot of lazy ass useless mother fuckers like my three uncles that think life owes them something for nothing. Those three finally had to get off their asses when the old man went in a home at over eighty years old and the home got his social security checks. They were all older by then and they got a hard lesson about where life takes those that lay on their asses. They deserved that hard lesson, and it reality no one that works, and contributes needs POS like that around any more than they need the POS at the very top that contribute nothing while trying to take everything.
Learn to code? It’s always a mastodonic cringe when people refer to the voluntary exchange of labor for money as slavery. You would know if you were human chattel, you aren’t. What you have is a crisis of motivation and most likely a shortage of marketable skills, both are difficult to fix but the alternative is to be resentful and while away the hours online blaming the masons and probably the Jews for how your life turned out. Carrying resentment in your heart is like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to get sick from it, it’s self defeating. God speed pede
Thank you for posting this so I didn't have to look it up. That's the quote that came to mind for me as well.
Ooo I didn't know about it! Thank you!
She's a lot brighter than I am. All creatures die. Without death our actions have little meaning. And productive work is the best we can expect?

Exactly this👌

Its good to be busy; but taxation without representation is the work of the acuser.
I love what I do, always have. Yes, it’s physically difficult at times. It’s mentally challenging too and I don’t make a lot of money. Even so, I wouldn’t wish to be doing anything different cuz I LOVE IT.
I guess I’m a simpleton 🤷🏻♀️
I love what I do too! We should count ourselves fortunate❤
You bring up some good points. I think you’ve made up your mind to keep flippin, as you enjoy doing it.
Well, your problem is mental. Demoralized is the term the communist used. And its intended.

Have you had children with your partner?
Do you have any desire to?
If you don't want to work, be a parent - and the best parent you can be. If you don't want to have children or work, then find something that makes you useful - or you will die miserable and alone.
No, but maybe someday. And I flip things and resell for income. I just don’t want an actual job with a boss. I love being independent and finding things to sell. It’s so much fun and I enjoy it.
That's working, you're just not wage slaving like everybody else.

Find a different job. Something you love. Then stop whinning and start winning. And then stop blaming the freemasons lol

I found this
In the Book of Genesis, God planted the forbidden tree into the middle of the garden. He told the innocent human couple that they shall not eat its fruits or they shall die.

Someone downvoted you lol. Again truth. I like how you para phrased it. That should upset a few of the hardcore...

You would love the 5th dimension
I wish we could transcend into the 5th dimension. But why would I love it? Is there no rules? No stupid fucking government? No work?
My grandfather had five sons. He owned a small farm that two of his sons had bought for him after he had lived as a sharecropper raising them for years. He worked hard on that farm often with just mules and a plow.
My father and one uncle bought that land. Why just the two? Because they were the ones that had the work ethic to get off their dead ass and get it.
