I have three copies of the filthy Koran, and I can tell you from reading that this filthy book calls for our heads to be removed from our bodies, denies Christ as the Messiah, denies His crucifixion, denies His resurrection, denies His place amongst the Holy Trinity. Several years ago we had a speaker at my bible study luncheon, a man who heads up groups that go on mission trips to predominantly Muslim areas. He walked us through how he ministers to them and the main way he connected with people was through similarities rather than differences. He said that a lot of the information that's in the bible is also in the Koran. So he said he started out by having a conversation about the things that are the same. I can't remember exactly but let's just say Moses and other bible stories familiar to us all. He said the Muslims were always surprised that he "knew" the koran, and that they were more willing to listen after having the similarities pointed out, or rather confirming their biases opened them up to listening to more. I always thought that was interesting.
That works with reasonable people; their “religion”, however, isn’t reasonable. In fact, those Muslims listening are putting their lives at risk by entertaining Kafir, or “non-believers”. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.
