Ok. First, these lights didn’t appear until Spring/Summer 2020ish. Now, all we have to do is call to get them changed, but none of them in my area has changed and I know for a fact that ppl have called.
I spend most of my time in Howard and Frederick County and see them often (more so in Howard). I have wanted an explanation on them for a while. And no, these are not LEDs going bad; an intersection off one of our highways just had a light pole installed and it contains the purple light.
They also don’t illuminate any better than regular lights and are harsh to look at so I won’t accept any explanations along those lines.
Why? What’s it have anything to do with this? It’s as cliche of a zombie storyline as the rest.
“ Storyline
After a devastating disease wipes out billions of humans leaving only hordes of flesh eating monsters and a handful of survivors, you must make decisions and fight to survive. You choose who to side with, you choose who lives and dies, but most importantly you choose your own fate. In a world filled with hundreds of decisions and hordes of flesh eating zombies, you must find a way to survive against man and monster. Also, this happens only in the day. At night things tend to get a bit more freakish.”
Read the storyline then get back to me. How much predictive programming have we seen and experienced so far? Replace zombies with some that’s more real to your own liking. Then get back to me with less snark faggot.
I literally quoted the storyline in my original comment. What are you talking about “read the storyline then get back to me”? Your comment makes no sense.
I think he's building a thesis on what they may imply. I am thinking it's a communication sign set up for future direction. Like a, "see this light, Your ally lives in this neighborhood." And the chaos moves elsewhere.
Noticed one, only in Denver. And in quite a political area at that.
Doesn't rule out possible directional communications. May not be my example, but if it's there with nothing burger happenings for a bit, may get dismissed. If it's anything like the theory, it's for future planning.
Wonder what color means burn it all to the ground? Probably that depressing yellow street light color. We could really have some fun by changing those colors.
I dont know about purple, but I read about them using blue lights to deter from people doing IV lights, because it makes it harder to find your veins to inject.
Ok. First, these lights didn’t appear until Spring/Summer 2020ish. Now, all we have to do is call to get them changed, but none of them in my area has changed and I know for a fact that ppl have called. So what we(my girl and I) wanna do is map them out, see if there’s any specific distances between them, where they are and see if a pattern arises.
So in the game, from what my girl has told me, a virus spread(like Covid), the government/GRE(WHO/CDC) rolled out forced vax(more or less) and something went fucky with the vax and ppl started turning into zombies or something like that. And at night they’re super powerful so it’s been discovered that sunlight/UV light slows the turning or prohibits the turning(enter the main character). Everyone is infected in the game. They wear what appears to be like FitBits/watches that can tell you how close you are to turning. Except for the main guy, he’s from beyond the wall.
So also in the game, there’s purple street lights, doorway lights sporadically placed throughout the landscape/cityscape that you must use to save you or to use at your advantage.
We’re totally into Conspiracy Theory here but with predictive programming they like to use and how much we’ve thought was fiction or not possible has come true, can’t overlook it.
Also, if you memeber, I recall reading something maybe last month about how the vaccines distributed in the Southern/Red States were different, had higher viral load or whatever, than the vaccines in the rest of the country/Blue States.
Germicidal UV is blue. When UV lights are purple (black lights) it’s because most of the light is being filtered out. Seems like the game even follows this logic because the lights I see in screenshots are blue, not purple.
UV does not penetrate skin. It would not even penetrate clothing. It is used to sterilize surfaces. It would never have any effect on anyone who has already contracted a germ. This is why there are talks of IV UV treatments.
“Throwing it out through sheer hubris” - what are you talking about? I just disproved it using logic.
Of course there’s nothing wrong with discussing a theory, but there is something wrong with completely ignoring and sidestepping all criticism against it.
OP is completely unreasonable and suspect. He thinks these are UV lights to kill germs because it’s part of the plot in Dying Light 2. But bring up these points to him and he doesn’t even want to acknowledge it, it’s kind of weird:
You really seem to be all butthurt on this topic. Are you a shill? Anyhoo, quit complaining and do something about it. Deport is right there if you need it. I’ve got my time balls deep in here. I’ve nothing to fear.
I've seen them around my neighborhood in Maryland. What's up? What do they mean?
Maryland here as well! They’re in downtown and neighborhoods.
Apparently they are from the types of LED bulbs going bad after a few years.
I dont buy that shit. I see them in strategic locations.
Had a new intersection put in and the leds where always that color from Day one the intersection was put in.
BB/Pellet rifles make wonderful toys.
This made reading through the post worth it for me!! :)
I’m also in Maryland.

Read the storyline.

Are you a bot?
Bleep bloop beep.
Do you do anything but deflect?
Nope. Next.
No purple lights in Oklahoma.
No, but they're pretty. Any problems with them?

I thought I saw one in the middle of a access road to a town. No houses or businesses nearby.
Doesn't rule out possible directional communications. May not be my example, but if it's there with nothing burger happenings for a bit, may get dismissed. If it's anything like the theory, it's for future planning.
Oh, interesting theory. Thanks for that. I hope the OP comes back to explain his meaning.
Wonder what color means burn it all to the ground? Probably that depressing yellow street light color. We could really have some fun by changing those colors.
That's what I got to thinking when I saw this.
Great minds and all.

What's the connection to Dying Light 2 you are thinking? Something to do with zombies? 😂
Read the storyline.

I did. Can you explain your thoughts on this? You think the purple lights kill the zombies? That's what it seems like in the trailer.
Ok. First, these lights didn’t appear until Spring/Summer 2020ish. It’s just a thing that makes me go 🤔
Some major issues with this theory:
Germicidal UV is blue. When UV lights are purple (black lights) it’s because most of the light is being filtered out. Seems like the game even follows this logic because the lights I see in screenshots are blue, not purple.

All I’m going to say is nothing wrong with discussing a theory. Throwing it out through sheer hubris doesn’t help prove or disprove. Just saying.
“Throwing it out through sheer hubris” - what are you talking about? I just disproved it using logic.
Of course there’s nothing wrong with discussing a theory, but there is something wrong with completely ignoring and sidestepping all criticism against it.
I know the “official story” about it, Cheesey.
OP is completely unreasonable and suspect. He thinks these are UV lights to kill germs because it’s part of the plot in Dying Light 2. But bring up these points to him and he doesn’t even want to acknowledge it, it’s kind of weird:
Germicidal UV is a bright blue
UV doesn’t even penetrate skin or clothing

Ahh.. here comes the projection. I wanted to discuss your theory, mate. You don’t even want to do that 😂😂
Yep textbook. You got me. How shall I atone?
Maybe discuss the theory like you originally said you wanted to do?
Nothing more to discuss with you.
Right, because I already disproved what you want to discuss 😂😂
Ok man.
