No, eff that. There needs to be age limits for deployable troops. It IS a statistical fact that men over 45 have difficulty keeping up with the younger generation in the field of battle. The physical fitness/readiness requirements are ridiculously easy at 45+. You damn near get twice as long to finish the run as a man that's in the 17-24 bracket.
My point is that people wouldn't be so willing to vote for this kind of thing if they had to put there money where their mouth is. If you have age limits, that leaves a whole realm of people who can safely vote to send someone else's kid into the fray.
