Sometimes you'll get interest based on various criteria, so this makes sense. Maybe they liked answers given, maybe they checked you out a bit, maybe you had enough experience in something that they felt you could be taught properly. Maybe they are struggling for viable applicants.
Lots of reasons to apply for a job you want even if you are totally sure you won't be selected for it. You have to put yourself out there.
I'm with you on that and have wanted to have my own racing team for a long time. The cost of entry is insane for racing. America has a great history in racing with true heros like Dan Gurney, Phil Hill, Mario Andretti, Al Unser, Bobby Rahal, and so many others. True engineers and drivers. You aren't taught about them like football players and baseball players, but they are true American heros.
I'm a mechanical engineer testing jet engines and auxiliary power units.
So you want to race? I'm guessing that you have friends that share in your hobby/passion? Why do you have to start at the top? Get some of your friends together and race. Film it and put it on all the social media. (All Social Media). You'll be surprised what that kind of exposure can do. It can be one of the fastest ways to get to a position you want to be in. That's my thinking though, my 2 cents. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
The funny thing is we do race and I'm the ring leader, so to speak. We do autocross and time attack (fastest single lap time on a race track). I've been to several events where I set faster times than known, established drivers and been asked where I learned to drive. When I tell them Gran Turismo, it blows their minds. Not saying that to brag or anything, but there's a lot of talent that simply has no money, which is all racing has become focused on.
Formula One is no longer the best drivers, it's who has the most money from daddy's company.
I'm a mechanical engineer testing jet engines and auxiliary power units. It's troubleshooting heavy, which is what I really like. I do a lot of programming and electrical work on the test cells too, which is fun. I get a good mix of everything with my job.
The huge corporation I'm currently employed at and trying to leave is currently hiring soooo many engineers. They also have a banner at the top of their careers page saying they only hire vaxxed. They accepted exemptions for current employees, but say they aren't for new employees. I would think this is medical or religious discrimination?
Anyways, people are leaving like crazy. They can't keep people. They can't hire people fast enough. I'm thinking they'll eventually drop it. But they've shown their true colors.
I thought NASA and Boeing dropped their vaxx mandates?
Same, they shed so many people and they're desperate to re-hire but most who left or were laid off don't want to come back and many even left for a red state as well. They stopped nagging me after the SCOTUS ruling and bumped up my pay instead, seems I'm one of the harder specialties to replace as my department is still like 1/3 of it's previous size. I already figured my days are numbered but they might also be legally afraid when my response to "talk it over with your doctor" was "sounds more like a discussion for a lawyer."
The engineering firm I work for, could possibly have a spot for you but it mostly is R&D so you would be designing a lot and testing your own designs with simulations.
I stonewalled them repeatedly and always pointed out that the "approved" one wasn't even available in this country and won't be for a few years yet, after the SCOTUS ruling I suddenly got a promotion as well. I don't know if they're enforcing this crap on new employees but other holdouts said they haven't been bothered in a while either but right now we have the silliness were we can only work in the office as the client sites don't want any unjabbed people visiting but we'll see how much longer that lasts.
They didn't think that we could wait them out and that the courts would start ruling in our favor. I wonder how many of those who were on the fence but took it just because they thought they'd be fired are now bitter than us holdouts have been getting what we wanted after all. Now we've had a few mysterious deaths in just the past month alone.
Could apply to jobs all over and turn down offers citing this as the reason but how many of us even have that sort of time to spend especially if we're still employed?
The missus is willing to especially since so many of our friends and family have already left but 1) we're having trouble figuring out where to go as still seeing which red states actually are going to truly respect freedom 2) the house needs too many repairs to be easily sell-able right now and 3) you just know this housing market is about to collapse and we'd just end up underwater somewhere else when instead if rode it out a bit the worst that'd happen is I'd be breaking even on this property and going somewhere else at a discount like I did in the last crash.
Yes, sir! I've been holding the line as best I can with you. God is definitely on our side, but even with that knowledge I get disappointed in our compatriots who fall in line without asking questions.
You know I've got you and your family's back! God bless you.
Which country fren? I’m contemplating on either renting or taking a mortgage. I have a well paying job however if the mandates kick in where I am, I am fucked. And there’s no fucking way I’ll take the poison for work.
If illegals crossing southern border aren't required to take jab, I would imagine H1-B visa holders are exempt and makes it easier to take American jobs once again.
I’d apply and not bring it up, and if they ask tell them you have religious convictions that prevent you from getting the jab. God told me not to get this vaccine.
And that only reinforced that it's a scam and they're probably taking government money to push it. I also asked when they bugged me at work "we're more likely to run across Tentanus in our field visits but that jab is not required. Who's paying the company to care so much more about this slightly-super flu?"
One of my current coworkers is in hospital right now, so I'm taking care of his kids. He took the vax, but is REALLY bad off right now. Our boss actually said to me, "he must have lied about taking the vaccine because he's so bad off. If he really took the vaccine, he wouldn't have had such a bad reaction."
I sent him all kinds of data, but he never responded.
Apply anyway, ad request a religious exemption for the vaccine, File EEOC complaint when they deny you, might get a response that's damaging to them as there is muck challenge

What kind of engineer are you? What's your passion/hobby? If you can't find a job on your own terms, make a job for yourself.
I'm with you on that and have wanted to have my own racing team for a long time. The cost of entry is insane for racing. Formula One is no longer the best drivers, it's who has the most money from daddy's company.
Then start your own racing. Stop putting all that talent into a box. Do your dream and money will catch up with you. Think outside the box
Train drivers need to join the convey!
good idea
What kind of engineering are you? I know if a place that doesn't require it... but I need more info.
I'm a mechanical engineer testing jet engines and auxiliary power units. It's troubleshooting heavy, which is what I really like. I do a lot of programming and electrical work on the test cells too, which is fun. I get a good mix of everything with my job.
The best religious exemption I heard was:
God told me not to take it. The end.
Hard to argue.
I'm not in a death cult.

Dang, wish I were the business / entrepreneurial type. I'd hire you!
Wonder if Tesla has a vax mandate.
If you don’t have a job because you’re unvaccinated you need to load up your truck with camping stuff and and go to DC right now.
If you don’t have a truck, rent one.
Oh and do me a favor, if you see any Antifa counter protesters run them the fuck over.
As I understand it, that's only legal in Oklahoma.
I think the Covid scam has run its course. Things should be better shortly.
Be patient: this thing is coming to a head. When it bursts, many people will drop the pretense.
My daughter is an engineer. She simply said no. Engineer your own shit. She was promoted.
I stonewalled them repeatedly and always pointed out that the "approved" one wasn't even available in this country and won't be for a few years yet, after the SCOTUS ruling I suddenly got a promotion as well. Might be worth a try to redpill some company owners.
Could apply to jobs all over and turn down offers citing this as the reason but how many of us even have that sort of time to spend especially if we're still employed?
Maybe a physical move will get you to where you want to be.
You're not wrong and that's not a problem for me.....but it is a problem for the misses.
I understand. I would love to move from libtarded subirbia to a more based area of my state or country. But, the wife will not hear of it.
So I guess you and I must fight our battles and hold the line where we are.
God's Blessings to you and your family. Life under God's guidance has a way of working out.
Yes, sir! I've been holding the line as best I can with you. God is definitely on our side, but even with that knowledge I get disappointed in our compatriots who fall in line without asking questions.

just apply anyways
How can you apply your skills to a business for yourself? If you work for yourself you’ll never be in this position again.
Which country fren? I’m contemplating on either renting or taking a mortgage. I have a well paying job however if the mandates kick in where I am, I am fucked. And there’s no fucking way I’ll take the poison for work.
Edit: NVM just saw comments.
I applied to a job lately. They never mentioned the vax, i never brought it up. Got hired.
Maybe try applying anyways.
Getting a job is as easy as being better than the other current applicants. If everyone who applies is unvaccinated, they don't have a choice.
Time to start your own natural immune engineering firm and have other healthy bods join you in our new parallel economy
Reasonable: Jew / Muslim
Unreasonable: Christian
Funnily enough I'd bet most of these are work from home jobs, or at least solo.
And that only reinforced that it's a scam and they're probably taking government money to push it. I also asked when they bugged me at work "we're more likely to run across Tentanus in our field visits but that jab is not required. Who's paying the company to care so much more about this slightly-super flu?"
Manufacturing facilities requiring this? Or is this construction?
Manufacturing. This particular job was actually for medical devices.
Use the med/religious exemption route. That should cover it. They just want HR to have a piece of paper. They don't actually GAF.
Someone I know died 2 days ago. Took the vax so he could work at a new place. Unreal.
He's programmed. Hope he wakes up someday.
Possibly busy talking with the lawyer on how they're going to shield themselves.
Apply anyway, ad request a religious exemption for the vaccine, File EEOC complaint when they deny you, might get a response that's damaging to them as there is muck challenge
