I'd bet most people here would be willing to pay more for products sourced and produced here in the USA vs China, or at their main street shop instead of Amazon. It's not that unusual for people to be ok with paying more for something if it more aligns with they're ideals or beliefs. So there's plenty of common reasons like that to want to pay more for a given product. Could easily include paying more for gasoline.

My husband is even though we can't afford the prices and he will likely get laid off as his industry will totally collapse if prices stay high. We know from 2008, it will crash the entire industry (RV), which will take potentially years to recover from. And without work we would be without insurance for my. Cancer treatments. He doesn't get it at all.
