Do Statins Save Lives? Doctors Don’t Agree!
How good are statins for preventing heart attacks in primary prevention? More important, do statins save lives? Read surprising new results.
Testimony:
One of the most surprising findings of this study is that the association between LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) and heart disease is “weak or inconsistent.”
My brother was at his doctor's office & the doc recommended a statin. My bro asked if his cholesterol was high. Doctor's answer: no, statins are a preventative. My brother's next question: "are you taking a statin?" Doc's answer: "NO." Response from my brother, "then why should I?"
End of discussion. My brother has been a medical malpractice attorney for over 40 yrs with a degree in biology from Harvard & a law degree from UTexas. - [fren on another forum]
Statins mess with your liver. I do that enough on my own.
P.S. FUCK JOE BIDEN
Love this! Totally agree.
Read The Clot Thickens - a very revealing book that covers several topics including cholesterol. Read it and you'll know a lot more than most "medical doctors".
Also The Cholesterol Myth.
Cholesterol synthesizes the vitamin D in your body.....
Think about the statins and the lack of vitamin D in most people.
Having read it, I can concur with the latter.
After doing a bunch of reading years ago about statins I have come to the conclusion that statins cause a ton of side effects and they are a bandaid, not a cure. Elevated cholesterol is a sign of inflammation in the body. You have to figure out what is causing the inflammation for the cholesterol to go down. Your body is producing the cholesterol in response to whatever is happening and lowering the cholesterol artificially, therefore, only causes more problems. If your high cholesterol is determined to be "genetic", then no amount of diet or exercise will bring it down because something else is going on in the body. Food sensitivities are a big culprit of inflammation in the body, a lot of people are allergic to egg whites and don't realize this, which leads to inflammatory conditions like arthritis and high bad cholesterol. Another problem could be sleep apnea. And so on. Statins are just a doctor's lazy way of treating the symptoms, not the cause. That's my opinion.
You are fortunate to (1) have a brother, (2) that is a medical malpractice attorney.
Had a neurologist give husband a statin because they thought he had a tia meanwhile his cholesterol was at 115 and trig and other were all in very normal range. He was at a new dr for possible lyme disease and that dr said it's dangerous for him to take a statin when his chol is so low. I had held off starting him on that because I know statins aren't good. Glad I waited and was pissed it would have actually been dangerous.
OP, here's your link minus the trackers that you included:

Obviously don’t take any big pharma crap. Treat symptoms, worsen cause.
LDL coats blood vessels. Blood vessels become congealed with fat. Like pipes if you chuck oil into it. This causes a host of issues including hypertension as well as smaller pipe hole diameter. Which can cause heart attacks.
Statins decrease production of cholesterol and better LDL resorption . To see this take effect, it takes years.
A better predictive factor for vessel health is HDL. I don’t give a fuck about your LDL if your HDL is high. With that said, HDL is increased via genetics and exercise.
But what kind of research article is this where there’s no correlation between LDL and heart disease? LDL leads to atherosclerosis leads to heart disease. Please stop spreading lies, thanks. Or if you’re going to spread lies, please tell people to not go to any legitimate doctors like MD DO MBBS. It’ll save everyone trouble!
statins break down cholesterol, your brain is made out of cholesterol. prolonged use of statins causes encephalopathy. if you learn about the relation of cholesterol to inflammation and the unhealthy 3 meals a day eating schedule they've imprinted us with you'll see how untrue that entire lie really is. cholesterol is putty your body uses to plug up the damaged parts of your arteries while they cannot be properly repaired and maintained. your body does maintenance on your arteries when it is not digesting food. you never fix the holes, they get bigger and more cholesterol plugs the holes till there's enough to stop blood flow. therefore, cholesterol causes heart attacks.. see how they got to that false conclusion? excessive inflammation and never having a fasting cycle is the real cause.
Before Covid, statins were pharma's biggest money maker. My doctor tried to get me on them, and wasn't really up to looking at the whole picture. I seemed to know more of the recent research than he did. Never went back.
The outcomes with or without statins and stents is statistically insignificant. Stents placed during an intervention are beneficial.
And yet some say stents are not good....
If you are having a heart attack it’s good. It’s it’s purely for angina must studies recommend against it and doing cardiac rehab instead. Get some collateral circulation going.
Take Serrapeptase every morning on an empty stomach and it will clean out all your arterial plaque. You won't ever need statins.
Also take Super-K and D3.
I looked up one brand and it said not to take longer than 30 days or if on a blood thinner. Any thoughts?
I take it on recommendation of my doctor -- and I have for years, with no issues.
In UK there was going to be a parliamentary inquiry about stations. For a start the correlation of high cholesterol and heart attacks...its not there...high cholesterol has been found to actually prevent not cause and !ow cholesterol is more of a risk.
I am aware a panel of eight decided statins were necessary. 6 of the 8 were employed or affiliated with statin companies
BP ratings are different with different countries...who decided that we all should register between this and that? Are we all the same...no we.are not.
All the people I know who have been on statins (3 men) all developed a strange edge to their personalities that's hard to describe, kind of like they aren't completely being themselves any more, and somewhat pretending their okay.
It is my understanding there should be a measure of the types of LDL you have. Not just the total cholestoral. I believe it is the smaller LDLs that will supposedly cause the atherosclerosis. Mine were off the chart. It is genetic, unfortunately and not controlled by diet.
I started taking statins last year finally after seeing very high levels of the smaller LDLs. I was reluctant for years to take it. But after being diagnosed with a left branch bundle block last year, I finally agreed to take them. Yeah, I am getting old.
My first blood test this year showed an increase in two liver enzymes. Now it could be a combination of things. I took the blood test three days into being sick with COVID. (no fever and no coughing when I went in to get the blood test a week before a physical) NOTE TO SELF: Never take a blood test when you are sick.
And also this blood test was taken the first day after I took Ivermectin. I also have been drinking a lot more alchohol these days, too. The night before my second blood test I was at a party and drank more than normally do. Anyway, My doctor believes it may be the Ivermectin I took... (high dose prescribed by Frontline Doctor) but I disagreed. I think it may well be the statin drug and/or having COVID. Instead of having a cough and runny nose with the COVID I got I ended up with stomach issues were I felt nauses but not throwing up. I had no appetite to eat.. except for crackers and soup for 10 days. So maybe it was the VID that did it.
I stopped drinking alchohol after the first blood test. I have been taking more blood tests. Upon which one liver enzyme level has gone back to normal. The second one is still elevated but has dropped twice during subsequent blood tests. I have another blood test coming up in May. If that one liver enzyme is still elevated, I am gonna go off the statin drug.
Statins interfere with the body's production of Coenzyme Q10 -- something needed by every cell in the body. If I were taking a statin, I'd take CoQ10 (200mg at least) as well. People who get prescribed a statin are often at risk for cardiovascular events (or have already had one), and QoQ10 is an actual, prescribed medication in Japan for some cardiac issues. The heart uses more CoQ10 than most other body tissues.

Turmeric and black pepper cleanse the liver and prevent inflammation. My husband took statins for a short while it drove his blood sugar through the roof. He stopped taking them, his blood sugar returned to normal
I will totally agree with your findings...was on statins for long time, dr added Zetia which i think works in bowels rather than blood...zetia seemed to kick cholesterol way down, so i asked if i can just take zetia ($10. per pill at the time) was told no must be with statins...so then, i mysteriously became diabetic, doesn't run in my family...started reading, turns out statins cause diabetes in post-menopausal women, didn't say anything about men, but probably same about diabetes, so dr rx'd metformin for diabetes...so, stopped taking statins, continued zetia which is now available as generic, started the turmeric/black pepper for cholesterol, and cinnamon capsules for diabetes...all normal now and liver function good...lately added a couple tsp of raw unfiltered honey at bedtime, and benefits are great for all kinds of things, including liver repair, anti inflammatory, anti-fungal, etc...many articles on the honey at bedtime thing now...must be raw and unfiltered, not easy to find, but worth the effort...good health, friends!
Excellent news!! If you add honey to a cup of tea always check the temperature by placing your pinky in the water. If it's too hot for your finger, it is too hot to add honey. The excess heat will destroy all of the health benefits of honey. I study the science of Ayurveda that is an ancient holistic medical system of India
thanks for your info...pls share any other holistic info you think is important...
The fact that you still trust your doctor, after what the pandemic has exposed about the medical profession, I find quite troubling.
