Yes this explains a lot looking back.

Consider this. There is a business partner of Biden's. The business partner is not gonna do business unless they have leverage. They got the leverage on Biden - lets assume some photos and videos.
The business partner has to inform him what they have, so he will behave. How will they do it? Assuming Hunter is the contact, so they sent the material to Hunter via email. Now Hunter has an email with blackmail material of his dad's.
What does he do if he hates his dad and his life and everything else? Intentionally leave it with the Computer shop? Not reclaim it back?
Gettting juicy. The laptop is not going to bury Hunter, but the Big Guy!
I agree: I don’t know one person who would part more than a week with a personal laptop.
I agree with you.
But let me play devil's advocate for a minute.
Do you recall when Hunter rented a car and left his crack pipe in it?
The police found it.
Not without constantly checking up on it anyway
Where do you think Bobalinski fits into all of this. He came forward and spoke to the media before the last debate (I think) between Trump and Biden. Of course, that interview went nowhere and now it seems like Bobalinski has vanished. I would have thought that he would resurface now that the NYT has deemed the laptop to be Hunter's.
Good point... witness protection?
I’d put $$$ on that.
He was providing enough info to authenticate the laptop so they memory holed him
Businesspartner sends email. Open file/ link -> laptop hacked. Photos made, conversations recorded. ....
Blackmail ensues ....
