The "Intellectual" liberal prides itself on an education, tremendous support of government institutions and has this false self-anointed morally superior view. They constantly conflate having an education with intellect, and as a result, look down on those who haven't achieved much in the world of academia. Since these liberals place institutions in such high regard, they honestly believe that if you don't have a degree then you are 'unqualified' to have an opinion. This is why it's impossible to debate 'intellectual' liberals with basic logic or facts that is counter to their rigid belief system.
The dangerous part of these 'intellectual' liberals is their inability for self-reflection and to analyze their own character from an outside or opposing view. This is because they have convinced themselves to be the final arbiter of humanity and morally superior or qualified to have these views & positions. As a result, these liberals will never admit when they are wrong, they will never take responsibility for their actions, and they will never understand or recognize the depth of brainwashing that has occurred to their malleable minds. These liberals are a product of the ‘system’ and will believe whole-heartedly in the 'system'. It’s the system that they have to protect at all cost.
When it comes to truth, "Intellectual" liberals would rather die in a bed of lies rather than face the uncomfortable truth, because in their mind, they are always right. Even when they're factually wrong, they will simply justify their erroneous position rather than admit the alternative due to risk of exposure (a defense mechanism). This unfortunately feeds the liberal mindset to become ever-increasingly intolerant to opposing views, makes them unable to be open-minded, forces them to become unknowingly racist & prejudice, and worst of all, they will elect to destroy human life even if it means achieving their ultimate goal: Utopia (which is ironic).
If you break-down the leftist ideology long enough, you will come to the simple conclusion that 'intellectual' liberals find humanity as the problem. That humans are disguising creatures who need to be eradicated and replaced with droids who all act and think the same. That if we only had the 'right' institutions in place and if we could just make everyone believe and think identically, then we will have no wars, suffering or pain in this world. Sounds amazing, right?
However, this isn't actually the core of their belief system. There is one final key ingredient that provides 'intellectual' liberals with their fuel. The motivating factor. The driving force behind all of their decisions. That is: liberals absolutely loathe free will & freedom of choice. This is important to recognize because free-will is the greatest gift God has bestowed upon the world and the liberal ideology is the antithesis. This is why so many liberals are atheists and hate the idea of religion or a higher power. Liberals absolutely fear what they cannot control and in order to achieve this utopian vision, humanity must conform to their will.
To make matters worse, if these liberals are unable to convince people of their utopian vision “intellectually”, then they will eagerly call upon the ‘system’ that they so dearly protect to do it for them. This is typically achieved through the use of coercion or brute force. This brute force is, however, justified because “intellectual” liberals see it as a means to an end.
In conclusion, 'intellectual' liberals have this unfettered allegiance to our institutions and will do anything to protect the system, BUT they are too stupid to realize that the very institutions they are willing to die for are created by the very the group they absolutely despise: Humanity. There lies the paradox.
This is why “intellectual” liberals will ultimately become the inevitable victim of the system they’ve helped to create and defend. The realization of their mistake will not cross their minds until it is too late to correct course.
Same here, and I went to a conservative college too! Yet most people still came out ultra liberal because of the 2016 election, the hatred for Trump, the MSM lies, the gay agenda making ground, it was crazy.
Hahah Same here. I'm a contractor and work along the North Shore. Never saw so many Biden Harris and BLM lawn signs.
Evanston is ground zero for libtards
Read “Vision of the Anointed” by Thomas Sowell. You described it perfectly. Libs are elitists or they consider themselves victims who need elitists to “save” them.
The French intellectuals are the worst. The French like their philosophy and other intellectual pursuits to be difficult to understand, if they can understand it it can't be valid.
French thinkers are revered as rock stars by the public, the cream of French womanhood throw themselves at them, their utterances are just about front page news and they get social standing that is beyond belief.
Needless to say they play up to this, can't say I blame them really, one of them admitted this to the press but that didn't stop the public adoration.
They like to do is prosletise marxist "thought" but all they want to do at heart is watch the world burn.
You nailed them. Years ago I ran into a pair of liberals like that, a couple in their 30s with a smug certainty about what they thought they knew. I didn’t realize what kind of creatures they were, and I was feeling friendly, so I struck up a conversation with them, which began just shooting the breeze, but somehow we got on the subject of taxes. With kindly smiles and a lot of big words they began to instruct me on the principle of using the tax system to control human behavior, which meant excessively taxing what you don’t want people to do to make them change their ways.
Back then I didn’t have the passion to do anything but be quietly offended, and I didn’t have the presence of mind to ask them who gets to make that decision, or why they would trust them? I just wanted to get away from these two and didn’t think about seizing the opportunity to instruct them on what a grievous affront such government manipulation is to human dignity, or to ask them why they thought they were superior to less educated people as if they were more worthy to live and more entitled to enjoy the fruit of the earth.
My response today might have been quite different, making them want to get away from me. It's not that I have any illusions about changing a brainwashed liberal’s mind, but they should never be able to say the ridiculous things they say unchallenged, and they should never be allowed to portray themselves as intellectually or morally superior with no one standing up to question their delusions.
Spot on! The condescending, die-hard liberals in my sphere are all like this. Every one of them has begrudgingly said that I am one of the smartest people they know, and many have lamented upon my "free-spiritedness" as though it is a cute flaw which is holding me back, somehow.
Funny that the hippy free-spirit smart college dropout gal is now their nemesis simply because I have conservative values and call them out on their hypocrisy.
They can only rationalize this by claiming that I am in a cult. Sigh...
It's easier to leave them with their delusion than to suffer with them trying to rescue me from myself as they descend into Hell.
An early English fabian socialist said that he did not want to help the poor, as if they are well fed and housed they will not thirst for the overthrow of capitalism.
For those who have looked into teachings of the Far East, such as Nisargadatta Maharaj, how do you feel about their teachings of (no self)? Is it feasible to believe that the ego / personality is an illusory construct, and evaporates when we awaken to our true nature? If so, then all intellectual endeavors are a complete waste of time. I have heard the analogy of taking 80 years to unroll a rug, just to realize that it should have stayed rolled up from the beginning.
Here's my humble take: The self is as much an illusion as a "drink of water" is an illusion. Water exists, but a drink of water is a concept applied to the bit of reality that is water. The human creature exists, but the self is a concept applied to the bit of reality that is humans and other intelligent life. It disappears from the contexts that no longer call for it, and forms in the contexts that call upon it. It's actually quite a mundane everyday thing; people "lose" and "regain" their sense of self all the time. That's not necessarily a bad thing, because being constantly self-on can drive you mad, and being eternally self-off leaves you at the complete mercy to the whims of fate. Average creatures like me and you (I assume) are constantly struggling and slipping between the two states based on circumstance and emotional state, while a truly enlightened being has full control over the evocation and revocation of its self, to the point where the natural fear of ego death no longer binds them. Possibly an analogue is to be found in Western teachings as well, that to "humble yourself before Christ who conquered death, and be born again" is to personally realize and feel the full implications of the self illusion, enabling one to live fearlessly on the path of a righteous life.
You are right. The vaunted "4-6%" will not be the bottom of the IQ rung people. Those people will have the spiritual wisdom and street smarts, for lack of a better term, that the 120 IQ lifelong academic does not have.
Thank you :)
Fantastic insight! May I share this? With credit of course.
Sure!
Edited it for better clarity, in case you wanted a revision.
Where did it go? I saved the post to send to a friend but it seems to be gone!
Here is a copy of it. Will be reposting-

I knew too many like this in college. They're even worse now. They never change.
I feel like I'm the only person who went to college and came out more conservative.
You are not alone. You have my axe.
Same here, and I went to a conservative college too! Yet most people still came out ultra liberal because of the 2016 election, the hatred for Trump, the MSM lies, the gay agenda making ground, it was crazy.
100% correct and I would add intellectual liberals who are religious- Bible snobs...Pharisees...
You just described perfectly my daughter in law
"They constantly conflate having an education with intellect" Truer words were never spoken!!
Excellent post. I'm surrounded by them here in Crook County as well as work
Hahah Same here. I'm a contractor and work along the North Shore. Never saw so many Biden Harris and BLM lawn signs. Evanston is ground zero for libtards
They’re “Agent Smith’s” protecting the system.
Intellectual liberal … an oxymoron
Read “Vision of the Anointed” by Thomas Sowell. You described it perfectly. Libs are elitists or they consider themselves victims who need elitists to “save” them.
Agreed. I was also going to suggest The Vision of the Anointed by Thomas Sowell.
I was raised by a pair of theee.
Malcolm X on liberals.
