How would you imagine normies are seeing this? Which side of the debate do you think they would take? Govt. censorship or free speech? If the left wants to die on a hill of being pro pedo and pro censorship? Let them. The battle is won on the middle with the normies. Moderates. Libertarians. Working class dems, etc.
I would have thought that Team Gropey Joe would have played it smart. Let Elon take over and then flood Twitter with fake nazi propaganda, 911 conspiracy theorists, purported Klan groups etc. Force Elon to be the one dropping bans and censorship, not them. Or even a FF event tied to some fake hate group with a large Twitter bot farm presence. But maybe they just don't have the time and need to shore up the narratives before it all comes crashing down on them?
I see this as one of two motives, either anyone actually buying into their garbage is beyond waking up, or their intentionally pushing people away.
