If only mothers were created to feed their children. But seriously, breastfeeding will always be the best option. I understand that isn't always possible, but I know too many women who rely on formula just because they don't want to deal with breastfeeding, and I find that to be so frustrating and selfish. It's the healthiest option for infants, if the only reason for not breastfeeding is because you don't wanna, that's ridiculous. I think the next best option is goat's milk.

For fifty years women have been deprived from every and all female instincts through contraception.

Another angle to the destruction of western civilization.

You are spot on! Except it’s been even longer than fifty years. My mom was born in 1961 and my aunt in 1957 and her mother formula fed them because she had been convinced that breastfeeding was “unclean” and formula was better.

I have a similar card that shows I was fed something similar in the late 50s. I'm surprised we all survived. In a pinch, this would be a desperate substitute, but I'd eliminate the Karo.

Inserts picture of breasts. (Sorry can’t I’m at work)

Seriously though what’s above is not great advice. That’s just all sugar

however, human milk IS higher in carbohydrates than cows or goats milk. In that respect, goats milk is closer than cows milk. People who are fed cows milk will thrive, however, as long as no allergy develops. This is a genetic thing. Black or Mediterranean people are more likely to be allergic to dairy from cows.

I thought Asians were lactose intolerant as well.

Not all asians are lactose intolerant. Also, there's something weird in the milk today in America. I can't drink it because it'll make me diarrhea. But i can drink milk when I'm in a foreign country and be okay. I'm perfectly fine with any dairy products though -- just milk here is weird

It could be A1 vs A2 casein.

Maybe try milk straight from the farm. We just started a dairy share and purchased milk. 1 gallon of milk has 3-4 inches of yellow-orange cream that settles on top. This milk was from Holstein cows. Most U.S. milk is ultra pasteurized and I suspect something is added to lengthen shelf life. Cream today is not real cream, it takes forever to whip. It never took that long when I was young. My mother could shake or whip with a manual whip and make cream or butter.

The Karo syrup is for calories, energy, brain growth. Some sugar is needed. Breast milk has natural sugar in it. This is made with evaporated milk, not condensed which is much higher sugar. I bet there will now be a run on evaporated milk and prices wil sky rocket. Probably better to use this to augment formula than to hyper dilute formula with water. I would be interested to know what pediatricians are advising their patients to do.

Hopefully boobie juice. Humans are equipped to deal with this problem. Women just don’t want to do the hard work. It is difficult to breast feed. After 6 kids and 2 wives I’ve seen how hard it is even for a very natural thing but with patience and hard work this is hardly an issue. Like every other problem we are facing.

Exactly right. A mother must want to breastfeed to be successful, but sometimes parents and spouse sabotage breastfeeding with their lack of knowledge and comments.

Pull your titty out your shirt and stuff it in your kids mouth.

It's how my wife fed all three of our kids.

If you absolutely cannot do that, then go get goats milk from a goat farmer. It's not as good as mom's but it will keep them fed and alive.

In the 60s there were no GMOs, so Karo was straight sugar syrup not high fructose (IMHO). Mother’s milk is sweet, super good. I love you posted this, but would caution on the Karo nowadays. Mama’s milk always best, goat milk #2.

Watch formula sales tank after this is circulated

Did you know there are pills to bring back mother’s milk? They work.

I remember my mom who had 12 babies making that formula. I was #5 and had to help with the younger ones. She breast feed the ones who were born at home, which was most of us. She was 48 when the last was born and I remember she breastfeed and made the bottles. The last 3 or 4 she couldn't produce enough milk to feed by breastmilk alone. Did not know it was an actual recipe. Always thought it was just something women came up with to help the poor producers.

One other thing, did you notice the capital first letters only? I know this isn’t a birth certificate, but When did the CAPS on the birth carts start?

Never did really. It's a myth by YouTubers trying to scam money off people. Some states may have started when typewriters began being used. None of the states I've done genealogy research in do birth certificate names in all caps. The original certificates used to be filled out by hand by the physician or midwife. Mine was. Years later, when I needed a certified copy, the copy was typed up, but my name was initial caps.

All caps for names in legal documents, such as wills and pleadings, are for emphasis only so that you can scan a document quickly and find all the names of the parties. Typewriters didn't have boldface, so all caps was used instead. After computers came in, the custom survived. I once worked in a law firm and know firsthand.

I try to head off that scam stuff with verifiable facts from my personal experience. The states I've done research in are NC, VA, TN, and KY. I may have seen some from other states, but don't remember.

I worked in the law firm almost 20 years, so I know a lot about how and why things are done there.

How could someone be scammed by a factoid? Genuine question not trolling. My friend liked to show off his birth certificate every once in a while and show that his ethnicity according to the state is NEGROID.

No. They are scammed by the YouTubers saying that all caps names on birth certificates are some kind of secret deed to your life that's traded on a black market for billions. They claim the names on all birth certificates are in all caps and that all the certificates have serial numbers that you can use to look up your "value." It's all false, and I try to nip that in the bud everywhere I see the idea pop up.

And pablum and liver in addition to tea. I think this is why I've always had a funky stomach. Who wouldn't with that put in it?

I am not sure what purpose tea serves, but OJ can be a high allergen for newborns. I remember giving these instructions out to mothers in the hospital, minus the tea and OJ-back in the 1970’s-Early 1980’s. That is about when SMA, SIMILAC, and Enfamil arose on the scene. Also when hospitals in the 1980’s began to be more money oriented than patient oriented.
