I think most of them actually want to help people, ie "we need to help people who don't have health insurance," and "we need to feed people who can't afford to buy food." The problem is that they're often misguided on who and how to help and they are often too stupid to understand how they are wrong.
I believe a lot of liberals would say exactly that, but there's some odd logic in those having the view "pregnant women should have their babies...unless they don't want to, then kill it." I believe those people care about the mother, and the mother's happiness, but it's clear they don't care about unwanted babies, or they would support adoption and not abortion.

Most of the liberals I know and I am friends with have the best of intentions to help others, but they just blindly follow corrupt leaders and lack any critical thinking for themselves. The ironic thing is that a lot of the most outspoken liberals tend to be from academia and yet go along with the group think that is created for them.

Oh holy shit, they went off. one was a white guy, telling me how white CIS males are ruining our planet, of which he is one. What is crazy is I knew both these kids pre-college. They were at my house talking about all the bad shit going on in our govt. This was 3 years ago about right now. 3 years later...the brainwashing is complete. Their parents paid big $$ to have their kids fucked up in the head.
