I read yesterday that when Pat Cipollone testified, they didn't even ask him to corroborate that Hutchinson spoke to him on Jan. 6 like she testified. They didn't want him to refute it so now they can claim nobody contradicted her testimony.
They own the media though so no matter what he says they will clip shit out of context and make him look like a Nazi etc. Patriots better be in control or this could end up backfiring.

Swamp monster Zoe Lofgren wants to do it behind closed doors so the testimony can be edited and manipulated before making it part of the television show.

I get the feeling Bannon is about to get off the leash and pound them to oblivion. If he sets up any sort of deal to Testify he will need to include the right to record his testimony because you know the video editor is going to be working overtime to clean up the sh!tstorm coming their way!

It's worth noting that the committee didn't even recognize the "executive privilege", so all this did was avoid having to wait for a court to decide whether or not he would have to testify. Though the contempt trial is still scheduled to take place.
So one might see it as making a show of "allowing" Bannon to be deposed because they knew there was a good chance they would lose the court case.

My prediction is that it's a delay tactic where Bannon will make demands for the deposition (for example, only on live tv, nothing behind closed doors) which will be refused, and then they'll have to take up in court at an even later date after all.

Where did you read that? Have details of the deposition been leaked? I've only seen vague details that were released by the committee.
