I'm INTJ.
I think a lot of us here. :D
That's why I like this place!
Yep, another one here lol
Me too. I've taken the M-B test a few times in my working career and always come up INTJ. And yes, I "overthink" and analyze everything, always looking for connections and posing "what if" questions. Only my wife understands me; most others do not. I worked for many years as a technical editor in the scientific / engineering world, and enjoyed it. Typical INTJ.
INTJ here, known about it since 2004. Its good stuff and very useful to understand, not just for yourself but others.
ENTP here. 2nd rarest. Grew up with a dad obsessed with personality/psychology, etc. Hmm. Interesting.
Does this resonate with anyone else?
INFJ myself, and as a male, that is the rarest. I first took the test about 30 years ago and felt great relief to learn there was actually a category for me and others like me.
Reading the description for "ADVOCATE" again I am amazed how it describes me exactly.
As someone commented below, "A Blessing or a Curse"
BOTH
Yep, and years ago i finally realized why i never really cared about "fitting" in socially (Sigma). Really put things into perspective once i realized i was INFJ personality.
I tried many of them and MBTI is the best so far but maybe the new one from Ray Dahlio is better (not much experience with it). You can try it here https://principlesyou.com/
Although you did not ask me, I suggest you take them all. Throw in a FREE Astrological Chart to fully blow your mind.

KNOW THYSELF
Yep - intj- A
Someone I was talking to and trying to help yesterday (just discovered they have cancer - hopefully benign) and they convinced me to take this test.
I did it whilst I was talking to him so didn't over-analyse my answers, and to be fair this fits me to a tee.
I would say most of us here tend toward I, N, T and J. I myself am all 4, like Ayn Rand. Basically the autist / objectivist type imo. Ahem, or schizoid if you look from a different perspective.
They are always such articulate communicators when you read them, but IRL what are they like to get to know? Curious.
We only form real friendships with people at whom we marvel. People who astonish us. Anything else we just pretend to like you and give you tips to become more conscious. To most people we seem like arrogant assholes. To the rare few, it’s like finally meeting someone who can relate after years or decades of searching. If you read Ayn Rand’s books, it’s pretty much exactly that
When I was younger I was definitely more INTJ, but I made a conscious effort to move the T more towards the F, mainly because I was jealous that my wife's intuitive side outclassed me whenever that card was played :)
Intuition was always something I ignored (or was encouraged to ignore let's say) and I now see how much that blinded me to what was going on at the time.
I can hear the echoes of 'you're just being paranoid' even now whenever I managed to nail something 100% spot on. It might explain why I'm so adverse to being gaslit these days, I grew up on a diet of it from my weak minded family.
I’m curious why you’re classing the F as intuition, when the N already stands for iNtuition.
Good point, because intuition (to me at least) is about listening to your feelings, your heart.
So, intuition is intuition, but to develop it you need more F :)
Fine, fine. After all, "typing" is not objective. It's just loose labels that don't correctly map to reality, like all of psychology. But don't tell a psychologist that. Their head will explode.
Yep^
Yes I am that one too! I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse tbh
Thank God for people like that, shame there are so few.
Yeah, it would be great if it was the most common group.
Yep.
INFJ-A here
I am an INFJ too.
It seems to be quite common around here for such a 'rare' personality trait. Although I did read through a couple of the others and it said similar things on that website, along with similar encouragements to make more of yourself with a paid for 'in-depth' analysis :)
People that spend time on this site are truth seekers. People seeking truth these days are pretty rare. :)
INTJ and INFJ tends to think alike based on what I read about MBTI. I am not surprised big numbers of these types are here.
Male or female? 3% of total are INFJ, but 2 out of 3 are female. I am the lonely 1% male

I am male. I didn't realize we were that rare.
I got INfp mediator, although as a Ba of psych im always skeptic of any psych test 😄😁😅
Me too - when I was younger I used to game them for fun :D
To be honest the biggest thing I remember from psych testing class was it works on average well for some (doesn't matter what test type), but there is a flawed percentage of some registering as the opposite of who they truly are. Eg many fields now have a psych entry exam for employment. (Had a mate go through one recently). It was down to him and one other. In every single way they apparently were the same, hence the psych exam as they couldn't decide who would be best for the job. One manager thought my mate, HR / psych thought the other guy, who DID get chosen. A couple weeks later they ring my mate asking if his still keen. The original guy accepted the job, was sent papers to sign up and then simply ignored every communication. They eventually get hold of him and he simply states, nar not interested. Now for 2 guys who are apparently on par in every single way, they didn't seem that similiar after all. (The only reason the other guy was even chosen was history in selling items where as my mate sold services).
I'm an INTJ. I was deep in all the personality typing stuff for a few years... Enneagram, Socionics, Jung's cognitive functions. A lot of people mistype, but it would make sense for there to be a disproportionate amount of Ni-dominant types here.
