I dont know how long you have been following Q, but I was there from the very very early start. When it moved to 4 chan there was a period where there was a lot of people that were dropping off the board and the messages were drying up. There were rumors that the 3 letter agencies were scaring people off by sending them messages. I thought I was smart using a clean device and a VPN. No one will be able to screw with me I thought. I cant remember if it was a private message or one on the board. But it said the type of work I work at and I work in an uncommon profession, and to the effect that I should basically leave. Scared the shit out of me. I figure I am on a list somewhere. How the hell did they know that detail? I stopped posting after that but kept following
When I got the message it was like 2am and the wife was asleep next to me and my hair felt like it stood up. Talk about getting paranoid. I didnt tell her for like a year because she was all like "stop posting stuff in the internet you are going to get in trouble" before I got the message. It was one of the most fucked up things that happened. I dont know how they knew my profession and even my sub speciality. No doubt I was investigated and found to be a nobody. haha
