Some stickies miss the mark for me, but maybe they're informative to others. What's annoying is the overuse of them. When I see more than around 8, I glaze over. I think they need to be reserved for breaking or really important info. But hey, somtimes it's just about the one post that's different enough that needs to be ... well ... stickied. The mods here know their stuff, and I find little to question them on, especially when they sticky one of mine. Tee hee.

You can submit posts to be stickied by using the report button, then typing "Sticky please" in comments. Suppose you could request an "unsticky please" the same way.
I don't think you guys are overlords, I think you do a stellar job, I just went into HOT today and had to scroll down way too far to get to anything that not had been here for a coons age.
The purpose of this forum is for the anons to disseminate information (red pill) to do our part in the great awakening. Sticky posts help us do that by keeping relevant information readily available. Also, doesn't your rant, by it's very meaning, constitute a dilution of free speech if we were to get rid of the sticky posts?

I did not know you could request a sticky, but the logic makes sense. if you can request one then there should be a please un-sticky option as well.
We un-sticky if we learn, say, in the comments, that a post is fake and or that one of u/CatsFive's stupid memes happened to extra suck.
