Yes indeed. When I became a citizen I had to study the constitution to pass my oral test. There I learned that law enforcement is delegated to the local governments only. The state, and the county have a constitutional obligation to provide public safety in the form of fire department and sheriff and his deputies. Police departments operate with the consent of the sheriff in the county. All tho some states like New York have changed and corrupted the laws by appointing a Sheriff instead of electing one by the citizens of the county.

I was chatting up a builder a couple weeks ago who I know is a MAGA supporting Patriot. But hes more on the normie side of the spectrum rather than Q/autist side. As our discussion moved past happenings that would fall onto the radar of people such as this into some of the deeper issues about Ukraine/spygate/covid/ false flags, he said to me "wow you really are a conspiracy guy". I told him the difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact is only a couple weeks and shortening every day. And that I damn sure am following conspiracies our government carries out against its own citizens.

I wish I were more conversant with the Federalist Papers, but I do think the Founders, when discussing how this government should be framed did not want the federal government to have very much power over the states. After all, it was the STATES that created the federal government, not the other way around. I am just enough acquainted with these discussions to know that they wanted to limit the reach of the federal government, thus the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.
I sometimes wonder what the fed would look like if it were forced to live within the Founders' vision? I like to think that the fed would be some far off entity that we rarely heard from except in case of a real, actual national emergency, and not the stupid made-up ongoing show that never ends like covid or monkeypox.
Any government that has to create fake emergencies just to seize more power for itself is a tyranny.

I was flipping through the radio stations on lunch the other day. Clay and Buck were on talk radio talking about Pence giving speech and condemning republicans for wanting the fbi to be defunded. One of them almost seemed scared and was saying most republicans do not feel this way and are pro law enforcement, as if that's the same thing....i was like what??? Why is he so scared? Why is he pandering and seeming so desperate? We know why. Pathetic.
Insane. As if the fbi is the only way for the federal government to enforce its laws. FBI duties should be split off to the marshal service and secret service.

I think the FBI was created mainly to catch the likes of Machine Gun Kelly and the Barkers. At that time, law enforcement could only chase the criminals to their State Line. They has no jurisdiction in other states so the FBI was created to hunt them down. Hoover in the meantime was gathering dirt on all the politicians sa as to protect the agency and HIS JOB. Power corrupts!

I do believe that is true. If he simply dissolved it, most people back then would not have understood why.
Trump will never dissolve the FBI. It simply won't happen. If he ever becomes president again, he will attempt to reform the FBI to actually assist in benefiting who they work for, the American people. They would also fight him tooth and nail if he even came close to threatening their way of life.
He should just scrap the FBI and rebuild it in the interest of American people, but the optics of that would be insane. Not that it matters because nothing Trump did ever pleased the deepstate media circus anyway.

Yeah we do. Not what we have now, but the government is made up of American citizens meant to uphold the constitution for the people by the people. A federal police has many good functions. One of which would be investigating corrupt local and state police.
