I never imagined that these would be the sort of victories we'd have to settle for. We've got a very long way to go.

Reminds me of a news in Thailand, where young males as stated in their birth certificate are called on Draft day to be selected for military service and some of the turnouts are trans. These trans are promptly exempted, but they must attend nevertheless on that day.
