Everyone here should start a blog. Register a domain name and get private hosting. It’s very cheap now. That way we generate the headlines and dilute the medias reach.
TV use to be free and the networks would make their money off commercials. Now they charge the hell out of us for us to see a show featuring a black man getting it on with a white woman, a tranny or fag couple acting as if it's normal. Gone are the wholesome shows of The Rifleman, Bonanza, Rockford Files, The A Team, Columbo, etc.

I'd love to have one of his phones....more money than I can scrape up for awhile though. The thing that bothers me is that the providers can and will just prevent you from accessing their service. They really want that 5G and I don't want any phone with that. I think they've already stopped the use of 3G phones.

Very interesting phone.......as much as I detest the surveillance proclivities of our overlords, I think that a phone camera is vital. The Light phone, obviously, would not have one. I did note at the end of the FAQs that they are very focused muh climate change/emergency. In that respect, they're assho. I do like the minimalist aspect of it though. Installing a different OS than the google crap on my android is not something I am competent to do. If I wreck it, I am without a phone for awhile. Would be a lot cheaper than buying a Braxman phone, would love one though. You've got some good information there.
If you have android most or all of these apps I mentioned should work with Android itself.
As for the OS, there are places you can go online to buy phones with Graphene OS and Calyx OS but the problem is can you be sure that any extra malware wasn't installed.
That's intriguing. I will see what I can download for starters. I would trust Braxman but the OS he installs only works on certain models of phones. It would be at least $300 and up for one. I just got this stupid android in December 2021...$65. I hate the android/google OS but loved the iPhone it replaced--flawless operation, miss it a lot. BUT, neither OS is a good choice. Yeah Braxman encourages Calyx OS (can still use google play services and apps like Uber) and Graphene OS (completely Google and Big tech free if you want).
These OS only work on Google Pixels because Google Pixels for whatever odd reason made it easier than other phones to develop and setup open source operating systems on them.

I was looking at unlocked google phones on Walfart earlier. I could get a Pixel 4 for about $189. Then I'd have to save for awhile to send it to Braxman for him to do his "magic." Because there really are no guarantees that a phone I would send to him would be compatible/usable, I think I will just keep shelling away what I can and just buy the phone from him. In the meantime, I am aiming to change my cell service to Pure Talk or Patriot Talk or some such. That part will get done sooner rather than later. The F-Droid is now on my phone and I've downloaded a few replacements for what came on the phone. Lots of apps there!

I don't have a cellphone (tracking device) or any apps (lame single purpose computer programs). I don't have a TV. I watch individual videos on my computer wherever they happen to be on the internet. I save the best for later. And I built my computer over 10 years ago, so I know exactly what's inside the case and can fix anything that goes wrong.
I haven't seen a family-run grocery store in decades. There are occasional pickups loaded with melons or collards in town, so I buy from them. And there are seasonal fruit stands that are open a few weeks at a time for various seasons. For example, the main location in town is selling pumpkins right now, but in November, they'll switch to Christmas trees. After Christmas, the lot is vacant until summer, when they'll have some seasonal vegetables.
I use cash wherever I can. None of the drug stores here accept cash. But there are restaurants that want cash and charge 3% extra if you use plastic. I still pay bills through the mail with checks as much as possible. In fact, the electric and water don't accept plastic at all, just checks and cash.
This could be the most important step of all. From the looks of things they're destroying the availability of fertilizer and the supply chain that would deliver food to the grocery store. If the grocery shelves are bare, what kind of phone you have or where you get your news will be one of your last worries. We must all grow some of our own food, and support local farmers directly or through farmers markets and grocery stores that support local farms. This is essential.
