Dear Mr. President,
Words are clumsy, feeble tools, but they are the only means at my disposal to fix in your mind the gratitude I feel for you. I am doomed to thanking you with words that by their very essence could never be sufficiently precise or potent. Please accept these words, inadequate though they will be.
At the risk of introducing what probably will seem to be a non-sequitur, may I respectfully pose a question? Do you, Mr. President, know why it is the case that young boys share universal detest for literature such as Wuthering Heights? It is because no possible arrangement of words could directly communicate an experience into the mind of a reader, let alone the particular experience of love, on which appreciation of Heights hinges. An author – even one as talented as Emily Brontë – cannot string together words to extract an experience from his or her own mind and insert it into the reader’s. Words can only remind a reader of an experience he once felt. At their very best, they direct a reader’s mind to an experience he once had, and say “that experience, the one right there in your mind, that’s the one I’m referring to now.” A young boy’s mind simply has insufficient experiences to which to anchor Brontë’s words, that they might carry the intended meaning. That’s why young boys detest Wuthering Heights. Plus it’s boring.
All of this carrying on about words is not a foray into metaphysics, Mr. President. It is a prelude to a tragedy that you and I must mutually acknowledge. The simple fact is this: it is not conceivable that the gratitude I feel for you could find a counterpart in your mind. You have taught me a new kind of gratitude, and I fear that you have never had another “you” in your life to have created a suitable mental referent for my words. So I’m stuck with task of describing the indescribable.
At this point, I am going to take a liberty. I now profess to speak on behalf of all of us. This is no longer a message from me. It is a message from us.
You are not merely someone for whom we feel a vast depth of gratitude, so that our primary task is in verbally quantifying the incalculable. This is not a case of us being simply so very grateful for you. Conjure to your mind a blackhole, Mr. President. One cannot sensibly pose the question of whether such a thing is massive. By its nature, it is possessed of so much mass that it has punctured space and time. So of course it’s massive – it could not be otherwise. Its massiveness is assumed by its nature. The very nature of our thankfulness for you assumes massiveness. We feel a kind of gratitude for you, that if even vaguely understood, would make the scale of our gratitude a self-evident matter.
We could not have hoped for you, for we did not know we needed you. And were it the case that we somehow chanced upon such knowledge, we would not have known that you were who you were. Forgive us. Who could have guessed that one man might be bold enough to face down a vast incumbent media apparatus? Who could have guessed that one man might be wise enough to reduce the invasive ideologies loosed upon America to their true philosophical “nutritional value?” Who could have guessed that one man might be strong enough to defeat cynical congressional orchestrations and to reveal the occupants of our legislature as participants in a broader project of societal destabilization? Who could have guessed that one man might be brave enough to stand up in the face of persecution and probable prosecution? We could have guessed none of those things before 2016. And now we have no need of guesswork, for you have laid matters bare.
There is a serpent lurking in the American Garden, Mr. President. It is cunning and subtle and ancient and new. It slithers about seeking the ruin of our national soul. Now is the time for bravery. Now is the time for strength. Now is the time for calculated deft action. Now is the time to crush its head. Now is the time for you.
We have discerned the signs of the times. You are appointed, and your hour is at hand.
A grateful nation thanks you. We know these words are insufficient. We know the true nature of our gratitude eludes the outer reaches of language. But we must speak, and you must know: we are ever so grateful. Thank you, Mr. President.
I hope you sent that to him.
I am not on Truth Social. I was sort of hoping he'd find it here. He must lurk?
That said, I hereby authorize you or anyone else reading this to send it to him on behalf of me and the entire Great Awakening community. I'd be grateful to whomever did that.
Can do. Edit: done 😊
A thousand thanks.
replying to myself to add one word: "yet." I am not on Truth Social yet. I will be - just haven't gotten around to creating an account.
Yep.
(I have a bottomless deep well of gratitude to all those who have put this together, and participated in saving a world that largely doesn't even know it needed saving.)
Wow! Bravo!!
And from an engineer who will never be able to write like that, thank you Mr. President. What he said!
Nail on head hit with a much larger mass.
Outstanding. I’m printing this.
Nicely done. You definitely hit this outta the park and it's not likely to land for a long time. Wowzerz!
I had a good English teacher in high school, but I've spent far too much time in my STEM field to be able to think on the level you just did, let alone express it. When I write, I tend towards the expository. I speak directly rather than try to show. You managed to add that little bit of intrigue that makes really good writing interesting to read and worth remembering.
I read another comment suggesting that you're spending too much time talking yourself down. It comes off as a humble brag at times, given the skill shown. The other comment suggested revising it. I'd suggest leaving it, because if that level of humility is how you feel, then perhaps, a higher power helped shape the emotion you had into the words that came out. We are indeed in a spiritual war, and if we've got a higher power on our side, that must surely be a comfort to know.
I do think Mr. Trump would enjoy reading that thought. It is worth sending it. I can only imagine that at times, he must feel like the whole world is against him when some of these swamp critters start swarming. It may be a comfort to know that hundreds of millions of us all over the world are pulling for him and for America to return to its foundational values, to keep its aspirational promise. May it be the beacon it once was once again.
If you are able to send this to him, please do. I'd be grateful to you. Thank you.
I sent it on TS for you
This is very eloquent and beautiful. I see some of myself in this writing, because I tend to get on here at odd times - breaks in the day, before bed when everyone else has gone to sleep - and find the muse... often end up missing a few more Coors out of the fridge than I'd like and waxing poetic about some topic of which we all are keen to.
You shouldn't put yourself or your words down. You write in a style that is familiar and yet alien to me. You hit your target well and your motivation and point is never unclear. Yet you also give it a nice degree of flower and pomp; I am a tad envious actually because I can drone on into excessive uses of style and flair with my vocabulary and grammar. I never intend to be so flashy or arrogant in my usage of words but I feel that I end up doing it too much still... I like to use old fashioned pen and paper for this reason, typing is too easy on a phone with my thumbs or a keyboard. The pen slows me down and makes me more considerate in each next word I'm going to use. I find that I chase after my main ideas less that way.
I want to disagree with you though. Words are not feeble things and you are definitely not to be considered lacking in how you've used them here. You have a resounding and bright message to share, with us and from us. We feel like you feel, and you were able to articulate that feeling with a true craftsman's skill.
I have meager talents and am not very good at much, or at least I've struggled with those opinions of myself for much of my life thus far. I've heard from a lot of people however that I have a talent for writing; just like you. Reading this from you, I now realize what an incredible and powerful talent that can be.
Words are all the world is made up of, truthfully. How do we process information? Learn what we learn? How did we all get to these shared truths you've spoken of? The ability to read, comprehend and understand the words and what they mean. Words are powerful in many different ways my friend.
After all, someone's words, on a forum just like this one deep in the belly of the Internet, is the reason for all this. Why we're here and reading and sharing in the first place. Just someone who shared A FEW WORDS. How much more powerful could ANYTHING BE. Words move mountains and make men killers and saints. They're all we have toward a legacy and our highest ideals and expressions of ourselves come from them.
Words inspire and enrapture and evoke us to things both great and terrible. Here's just one awful example: try watching porn with the sound off. Hah!
You know it's interesting. I'm thinking about a couple of things from this. I was watching Jon Voight interview Trump for Newsmax recently. It was a short interview and spliced with narration and film clips about the Abraham accords, that was the real subject of it. However at some point, Voight tells a story about Trump he'd heard. He walked into one of his places (Doral maybe) and asked for one of the staff by name. He had her come to the office and told her he had heard she'd been suffering medical issues. She brushed it off some cancer. He offered to pay all of her expenses, quite casually. Voight was welling up in his eyes recalling it to Trump. I think that's the feeling you're talking about too.
The man pulls a great swell of pride and emotion from all of us out in that same way. Why? Not because of that story or any financial motive alone (although it is a part of the story... he sent every American a check, just think of that... a check that put money in my bank account? Signed by the President? For me specifically? You'll never see it again and damn sure never happened before. Even people who couldn't speak a word of English knew because their checks started getting bigger from working... the bottom floor rose under Trump, which hasn't happened in nearly 100 years now) but really it's the world he lived inside of that he showed us.
He didn't have to do that. As he said he was an insider, but he exposed them and all their crimes to us because he could empathize with us. Common everyday people. They had gone too far and enough was enough. Many know and many knew, but who would step forward and defect to our team, for the greater good? Truly a selfless act and we all know and can see what its cost him.
For all of Obama's bluster about holding Wall St. accountable, about their crimes against Main St. and all that talk of fixing how we'd been broken by them... 10 million people lost their homes, and no criminal prosecutions. That's where this all started, I believe. Enough was enough back then. This is the only way we'll see justice for what they did then, the many people and families they threw away. They want state sponsored decline, economic terrorism and misery en masse. Any fool can see.
Watching Gutfeld tonight (I know but habits die hard) there was a block about how DeSantis is the nouveau public enemy #1 and Trump has recently received some positive cajoling in NYT. The opinion of the wolves at Fox they espoused was DeSantis is the "new Hitler" like Romney before him and McCain before and W. before. They clearly want this narrative to take hold, to make Trump yesterday's news, weaken his political movement and the massive power he still wields.
There's no doubt DeSantis is a like-minded thinker and has some good qualities DJT does not. However it was gratifying to hear Tyrus and another guest push back and wonder if it's really a good thing that DeSantis is good at using government for these political ploys and how if you extrapolate that out, putting him into a power position would just give you more of the old shit again. DeSantis is NOT Trump, because there's only one Disruptor in Chief. Trump is an outsider and focused on truth and right minded decision making. DeSantis makes right minded government decisions.... that's not far enough. He hasn't faced the onslaughts and come out shining... basically, no one can be Trump but Trump.
I think most of us understand that by now and these attempts to put a spotlight on someone newer and sexier in the eyes of the DS and the system will ultimately fail miserably. There's a reason Trump said recently he'd prefer to work with a reformed version of CNN OVER FOX!
Lastly I just wanted to add something I heard and found interesting recently. Our nation was the only one founded during the Enlightenment, the era of the printing press and the book's supremacy over knowledge... it was the highest form of technology at the time and still, until the Internet. Maybe that's why America is what it is and our ideals are so lofty and we're managing despite all the long history of chaos and infiltration. It requires more investigations but just a thought.
But to that end, thanks again for this wonderful message you've put out for us. It certainly expresses my personal sentiments and I hope it's the same for many others who read it. Words have power, great power. They make up stories, and the stories are all of us and all we have as our legacy.
The story happening right now is a monumental one and I'm happy to see it and be part of it; there is great changes and much better ahead for us. Thanks to Trump and to ALL OF US. People just like us, that you've spoken so well for.
Fantastic!! 100%!!!
Wow, you're outstanding with your words!
Respect, Thank you & God Bless
Makes me wish I appreciated the english language better when poetry was being taught to me.
Excellent! Do send it to him, he needs our encouragement, and this is so interestingly written, I think he will read it.
The “serpent in the garden” section is truly remarkable.
Thank you. I struggled with this more than you might guess. :-)
I posted the link on Truth with him tagged. The letter itself is too big for me to paste there.
Awesome. Thank you!

Thank you. I hope President Trump reads this. ...As MagaMan1776 said, it's a little wordy. But I think we all agree with each and every one of them.
This is so incredibly well written I have no words
(And that's 'saying' a lot—that I can 'tell' you :)

Thank you, CQVFEFE. I'm always a little overwhelmed when something I've written is well received. :-)
It's a little wordy, but I hope he reads it.
