The question was "what if there is no such thing as witness protection?" Knowing what we know about the FBI/CIA and how our government really works, what if the witnesses would have been the ones to sell out the 3 letter agencies responsible for a majority of the BS going on in this country, so they take out the loose ends but make themselves look like heros by saying they "relocated" them "for their own safety". Plus, none of them obviously care about our safety so why spend the time and funds to do so in the event of an actual crime? Anyone have anything on this???

I don't know anything, but I wouldn't trust the FBI to help me "disappear."
Oh they'll disappear you alright. That shouldn't be funny.
It's all repackaging lies.
Occam's razor,
Feds protect drug dealers to catch other drug dealers. Since Feds started protecting drug dealers as informants they get more arrests, however the drug problems have only gotten worse in society, despite their progress. Or...
Feds are the drug dealers.
Feds infiltrate gangs and organized crime to become leaders or flip leaders of gangs and organized crime to build cases to fight gangs and organized crime. Despite their successful operations Gangs and organized crime has only grown more sophisticated and organized and criminal enterprise has grown into an economic sector all its own. Or...
Feds are the gangs and the organized crime.
Feds protect the witnesses who would testify against drug dealers, gangs and organized crime. Or...
I think you have accurately described the reality of the situation.
Future proves past. If you see a full grown Apple Tree you assume someone planted and watered an Apple Tree. You don't assume someone planted a Lemon Tree and somehow it turned into a fully grown Apple Tree.
We have a full grown Shit Tree because someone planted and watered a Shit Tree.
For years numerous tv shows, movies have always portrayed the FBI/CIA as the good guys...allowing for that to infiltrate people's minds and see them in a particular way.
Hollywood and these letter agencies working hand in hand, so the people won't figure out what is really going on.
I believe that's where he was going. As in the 3LA should be the last trusted sources of "protection". Sure there may still be good guys within, here lately we call them whistleblowers and are probably in need of that protection themselves, but the person I just snitched on would be the last person I would trust for protection.
Big Pussy sleeps with the fish's...even on the Sopranos witness protection was a long running gag...insider dark humor or reality, time will tell.
Opposite is true.
That is, becoming "spooks" is far more common than we imagine. That is, becoming ghosts.
Specifically, we swallow news of celebrity/politician deaths FAR too eagerly and without question. This extends to Shinzo Abe, but even Rush Limbaugh, and leading mRNA scientists.
Becoming a spook to protect one's family is an old tale. Becoming a spook to sincerely allow Patriots to prosecute Clowns without impeding court cases due to their prior entanglement (Shinzo Abe, Queen, looking at you two) is the new hotness.
Ask a few open-ended questions; it would help to know why they starting down this particular rabbit hole.
Start with "Obviously, you have a reason for wondering... mind if I ask?"
I can tell you now, one reason is because he's always been really big into the mafia movies and any conspiracies that follow "the mob". His biggest "what if" was always "What if the mob are the good guys, FBI/CIA are the real mafia". Thought it was nuts but now sounds more like they're the same, just one happens to be taxpayer funded. When you consider "witnesses" to be "whistleblowers" who are typically on the lower end of the chain of command and the type of people who are on the high end of the 3LA, as well as the body count trailing behind Killary, BO, or any of these other hacks in this shit show, I can see how it would spark this thought...
Everybody has a price ... a point where they will fold into compliance... whether part of an organization, military, corporate, or family of 4 - pride, lust, and want of material stuff... everybody has a breaking point. I call it a "slow fade." People don't crumble in a day.
Perhaps for young men, the glory of mafia and mafioso put together by Hollywood encourages us to like the guts and glory to a certain extent - primes the curiosity and makes it attractive.
The FBI/CIA is (was) prestigious -- and mysterious... they get to be secretive and even that carries a lure for some to want to "be a spook" -- so the desire and lure gets a person into it - then the compromise keeps them in it and then the money makes it worth it - 'til the pride takes them over the edge... no way out. Just like street gangs -- they are able to easily recruit boys who had no dad at home - sense of belonging gives them "purpose" but there, too, no way out.
One has to be constantly shored up in God's warnings in order to not touch the eye of the stove. It starts in the bassinet and never stops needing to be nurtured -- what is "it"? It is loving our neighbor as ourselves. just my two cent's worth.
Sammy "the Bull" was in witness protection after testifying against Gotti. Model citizen? Started his own mafia in Utah or Idaho, wherever he was. Finally got his due!
No matter what anyone tells you, if you go into witness protection, you will never get to enjoy arugula again.

What’s arugula?
It’s a VE-GE-TA-BLE!
Good one!
Imagine being part of an movement that still thinks cannabis is bad or evil.
Never said anything bad about it. This particular cousin is your modern day Spicoli, stays "out there." Used to smoke myself but between the price of it, the irritability, and all the stigma that goes with it, I just dropped it. Honestly dont miss it.
The way it was worded made it sound like a bad thing. The stigma only stays because people would rather heel to their bias and ignore facts. We have the data now and we know better. If people choose to remain wilfully ignorant, so be it. It will be here regardless.
Glad to hear about your journey. I'll be the first to admit that it's certainly not for everyone and there are pros/cons just like anything else.
Some of those in witness protection have not been so good at staying hidden such as Henry Hill who used to call into the Howard Stern show. So, i think that some at least do get relocated.
