I am at this minute in a surgical waiting room in Co Springs, Co waiting for my husband to go to his hospital room. They have an “officer” at the front door of UC Health hospital, liters 2 ft inside the door next to a six foot tall sign which reads ”MASKS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES TO BE WORN OVER NOSE AND MOUTH REGARDLESS OF VACINATION STATUS AT ALL TIMES IN ALL AREAS”

My MIL was sick with strep throat recently & her doctor refused to see her - said that they're not letting anyone with covid symptoms to even go into the building. What's the point of having a doctor then if they won't see you when you're sick?
I'm so glad my Colorado employer fired me for non-jab-compliance and I got out of there. Where I'm at now isn't much better (blue area of an otherwise red mid-western state) but it is better.
Stand outside of the building, call the person you are to meet and state that you will not enter the building. They must come outside to talk with you. If they refuse to come outside, then your business is finished, document all conversations, and leave knowing that you fulfilled your part of trying to meet with someone in the building but they refused to allow an interaction.

Fine. Do what I've always done in such situations. Wear a face mask on your elbow or strapped to your leg. In accordance with the written policy, you're wearing a face mask. The policy doesn't say anything about it being on your face. :>)
If someone really gets insistent, then wear a face mask on top of your head... and tell them you "self-identify as a dolphin". If they tell you to wear the face mask over your nose and mouth... tell them that would be stupid. "I have to cover my blow hole. We don't breath through our nose or mouth."
If the policy becomes a constant frustrating argument for them, then eventually they will change the mask policy.
