Now those who would not comply must be fully restored to their military positions (if desired), receive all full benefits afforded to military (current, and removed). If I were part of the military who complied with the shot to keep benefits and maintain my position, I would be beyond pissed.
Anywhere there is any risk, there must also be choice. Anyone involved in forcing or coercing people into a medical experiment, especially with no informed consent needs to be held accountable.
It is just as bad where I work. A Fortune 10 company. They too brought out the vaccine mandate and told workers they would be fired if they did not comply. I did not comply and was ready to be fired when days before the cut-off date they rescinded the order.
Where it is bad is that most of the employees DID get vaccinated. Then some 8 months later fired a huge number of employees as they outsourced to India. To me that is the height of evil.
Talk about beyond pissed. I wonder if there is a lawsuit in there somewhere?
I am looking for new employment. I hate the company and what they have become.
That is what I told my son, he did not get the shot. I told him that the businesses were promised something: money to get a high percentage of their employees vaxed by mandate; tax breaks; or governmental contracts/jobs; threat of revocation of their business license for non-compliance. My question is can anyone demand the financials of not for profit hospitals and their CEOS/CFOS? Why are hospitals still mandating masks and employee shots unless there is a payment involved? I also said that nothing would prevent them firing/laying off employees who were sick after the shot. They would not be paying medical bills/damages. No job is worth your life or your health.
So dems get to shove through their bail out for journalists and the Rinos get to take away an unconstitutional mandate? That’s not a win, that’s the rinos folding like a cheap lawn chair
Stop praising them for something they should have never done in the first place. Anyone on here who is applauding this should be embarrassed that they let themselves get fooled AGAIN.
They were ALL completely silent the whole time. They should have been screaming about it before they started illegally jabbing them. Now the damage is done- most of the military folded and those who didn’t were kicked out.
So rescinding the mandate is great (even though they shouldn’t have even let it happen, but then I suspect they wouldn’t have gotten their hush money), but it will only help people who aren’t in the military yet. And it’s atrocious that it even happened.
People: we are fucking stupid. We have been letting the “Republicans” do this shit for years. They let something happen that shouldn’t, and then after the damage is done, they do some little thing like this that doesn’t undo the damage and won’t help a single person who got fucked. But we all applaud them like they’re doing some great thing
This is only a “win” for these politicians.
ETA: This isn’t directed at you, fren. I meant to type it as a stand-alone comment, not a reply to you.
I'll be dirt baggin it for another 5 years till retirement if they don't discharge me. I might tap out before then. Fuck these Commies in the ranks, snakes in the grass.
After this failed fucking stunt I'm sure all of my peers and CoC's will find every chance to discriminate and retaliate either because they think I'm either an insubordinate, treasonous domestic extremist or they are bitter for being YUUGE suckas. I will never be promoted again and this GOMOR will forever tarnish my record.
I can no longer trust any of them and they can no longer trust me. I was barred from drilling, training, and receiving any credit towards retirement points because I outright refused the unlawful order.
I had a group of soldiers that held out till the last minute to get their clot shots or "begged" for exemptions through the military's bullshit process. I mentored them and providing them all the info to assist them. They dropped all contact with me after I was MIA ever since I was barred from training.
Opened my eyes and made me care even less about returning to that toxic dump. If only they had the balls to carry out their threats and discharge me already. I guess they still need warm bodies for Ukraine once they run out of proxy Ukrainians.
You are what I wish our entire military looked like. Bless your parents for raising such a principled child and thank you for your enduring sacrifice and conviction.
That’s because they can’t recruit anyone with half a brain, with a body meeting minimum standards. There are other factors, as well. It’s a very good thing but it was an act of utter desperation.
“just 23% of young people can meet the military’s fitness, educational and moral requirements — with many disqualified for reasons ranging from medical issues to criminal records and tattoos.”
They did it because the damage has already been done. They got whatever they were promised for being silent while it was happening. And so now they are just fooling everyone into thinking they are doing something good. We keep letting them do this. We are retarded, and until we fix ourselves this shit will continue.
I’m glad that they don’t require the vaxx anymore, but doesn’t it seem like they are trying to hurry and do some things that Trump says he will do when he gets back in? Like they are doing things Trump says he will do so that they can say they did it and not Trump to make them look good. Now that they want to have amnesty for pushing/mandating the vaxx, so they are getting rid of the mandates.
Will they pay the soldiers they kicked out backpay also?
By the way - this tweet is just the House GOP posturing to try to make sure the repeal of the mandate stays in. Until it is voted on it can still be changed. It will probably stay in (and this is their attempt to get the public excited) but these a-holes in the House always have surprises up their sleeves.
It never, ever should have been in the NDAA for troops, and everyone that made it so has to pay dearly for the rest of their lives. And I do not mean just money-wise, they utterly destroyed lives.
Why are they being given 30 days? How about EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY upon passage the order is rescinded, cannot be reinstated, and all disciplinary actions and discharges are undone?
Be careful with this. The language is currently in the bill but it isn't even scheduled to be voted on in the House until Thursday. It will most likely pass, but the Senate is playing games. Normally the NDAA has been "sacred" and kept to only military/national defense items but I heard this morning Senate dems are trying ti insert wording to legalize banking for pot businesses. They haven't been able to get that passed on its own or in any other bills, their time is running out in this Congress, and they think they can tack this on because this bill is passed without fail every year. They already pulled out an energy rider from Manchin, so the pot banking may get pulled out at the last minute as well - we'll just have to see what they vote on Thursday.
Also the bill does NOT reinstate members discharged for failure to take the clot shot. Source. It looks like the bill will ask the Pentagon to "evaluate" allowing members back in, but it is not (currently) law. That can also change in negotiations, so watch that one.
One thing not expected in the bill, however, is language to reinstate troops, sailors and airmen who were discharged or received penalties for declining the vaccine, a provision GOP lawmakers hoped to insert in the legislation.
Instead, lawmakers on the House and Senate Armed Services committees are planning report language for the bill that allows the Pentagon to evaluate service members affected by the mandate, Rogers said.
“There’s no statutory language, but there’s report language that tells the [Defense Department] to ascertain everybody that’s been adversely affected by the vaccine mandate and what it would take to make them whole and get that to us next year. Then we can decide if we want to try to do that or not,” he said.
“Some people aren’t going to want to come back to the military, but if they do, what would that look like? How many people are we talking about?”
Now those who would not comply must be fully restored to their military positions (if desired), receive all full benefits afforded to military (current, and removed). If I were part of the military who complied with the shot to keep benefits and maintain my position, I would be beyond pissed.
And back pay with interest.
Absolutely. But guess who pays for that again-we the taxpayers.
Well we would have paid the same if they were never discharged. Except the interest.
True. Now we are paying higher medical cost for the vax injured military too.
Yep. That is the problem. There is never a consequence for those involved, just for us.
Many seemed to think we were negotiating to have our rights back. What deal would I ever enter in which 100% of the risk is on me?
Anywhere there is any risk, there must also be choice. Anyone involved in forcing or coercing people into a medical experiment, especially with no informed consent needs to be held accountable.

If you work for a fortune 10, why not just retire early?
Completely agree.
So dems get to shove through their bail out for journalists and the Rinos get to take away an unconstitutional mandate? That’s not a win, that’s the rinos folding like a cheap lawn chair
agree, happy for our troops, but doesn't feel like a win.
aren't they 2 different things?
Stop praising them for something they should have never done in the first place. Anyone on here who is applauding this should be embarrassed that they let themselves get fooled AGAIN.

PATHETIC -
“just 23% of young people can meet the military’s fitness, educational and moral requirements — with many disqualified for reasons ranging from medical issues to criminal records and tattoos.”
Moral requirements? I suppose it's a good thing I'm not eligible for military service.
LOL
They did it because the damage has already been done. They got whatever they were promised for being silent while it was happening. And so now they are just fooling everyone into thinking they are doing something good. We keep letting them do this. We are retarded, and until we fix ourselves this shit will continue.
