Ukraine phone numbers can no longer register on Twitter. Is Elon poking the EU?

So.... is he saying that Ukraine is one of the sources for the bot farms that plague Twitter?
That's my guess as well.
Apparently not just Ukraine.
This is probably the simplest way to stop botting in the interim. Figure out where most are coming from, and cut their ability to sign up entirely using the framework they already had in place.
Could be, after all Ukraine is not a member of EU, and it's known to be a very corrupt country. Most of EU has banned anonymous phone numbers and most social media is already blocking virtual phone numbers.
This means, you could probably order a prepaid sim card from Ukraine, get a legitimate Ukrainian number, cheap and anonymous and then use that to register a twitter account.
If so, then it would make perfect sense to use Ukrainian verified accounts for the bot farms, while the servers are most likely hosted in countries with soft laws against bots and reliable power/internet like Romania, the Netherlands or the Nordics.
Not exactly, the bot farms in which the US runs that promote the NPC programming such as vaccines, ukraine are gone. Illusion shattered
They may however have been physically located in the Ukraine, sort of like the biolabs. Just a hunch.
It’s plausible they could have been used as a proxy but doubtful. The infrastructure over there is completely fucked and not reliable to run bot farms with precious propaganda
How do you know this?
Know “what” exactly? The US based bot farms or ukraine not being feasible to have bot farms atm
My question was, how do you know that 'the bot farms which the US runs....are gone.'?
Ah good question and to clarify my statement; I meant in regards to twitter only… for now
Correct
And, no, c5 didn't sticky his own post. I did...at the request of one of you. 😁

maybe check this, there are articles saying it only lasted 12 hours
It's all about content and has nothing to do with the poster. You post something brilliant, we will sticky it. You see someone else with a brilliant post, request that a mod sticky it. If it's that good, we will sticky it. It's that simple.
It's eyes on the prize, pedes. Too many frogs get hung up on stickies and updoots. We're not here to hand out participation trophies -- that's for leftists. We're here to defeat the DS.
WWG1WGA!
Brent, apparently some users are under the impression that stickies are generated automatically via some algorithm, and they think that if a mod posts something and stickies it, that they are pretending that "their" content is more important. Which I can see.
Except... that's not true. All stickies are manual decisions by the mods. All of them.
BTW, when I sticky something of mine, it's USUALLY a post that was seriously on Q or seriously breaking news and was doing super-well over at PW. That's on you guys. Get to work, frogs! We have a reputation to maintain! WE ARE TEH NEWS! THIS POST HAD OVER 1000 UPDOOTS ON PW BEFORE I FOUND IT AND SCRAPED IT OVER HERE! That's embarrassing to me as lead mod here, c'mon, guys! LET'S GOOOO
If it's all about content than why are there a few posters that forum slide every single day, making dozens of posts within an hour with the same content that's already been discussed multiple times? Can't they just make a single post that doesn't clog up pages of the new section?
When you see this, report it. Mods are only human, too. Sometimes we're busy dealing with other issues and miss things. if you want to see what we're doing, visit the modlog. A lot goes on behind the scenes to give you the best user experience that we can.
How can you miss it when it happens literally every day? Can't you just tell those posters to make a megathread for themselves or has that already been mentioned?
It's been mentioned.
I think a lot of people would miss seeing important posts because they often get buried as it is. Especially since certain people post a dozen new posts at once, without even checking to see if those things are already being discussed
We get a few hundred posts per day. Right now what the mod team does is sticky a post that's good, then let it get enough votes so that it gets into /RISING, and then we un-sticky it.
Then why don't you encourage posters like Ashlanddog and purkiss to bundle all those dozens of posts into one? Most of the time they just post a link to something that was covered a hundred times already, then it causes forum sliding which is against the sidebar rules.
Ashlanddog even has a personal sticky every single day that barely gets any comments...
Ash puts his posts into a digest, but I do still remove a ton of his posts. We mods have had chats with each of the users you've mentioned and asked them to come up with something, but, hey. Everyone here works for free. I can't hire anyone or fire anyone.
No but you can ban them for a couple days for forum sliding...as it is one of the rules... I mean, I've seen tons of users banned for a lot less.
It would encourage them to not spam post and maybe do a quick search before posting multiple things that have already been posted
They have no reason to listen to me.
I thought I was replying to catsfive, apologies
👍
Just a reminder: https://greatawakening.win/p/16ZX3JD77x/ua-hiring-human-bots-for-twitter/
OOOOH. Added to context!!!
I just want to say.
HAHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHHHAHAAAHHHA [breath breath] AHHAHAHAHAHAH!
maybe check this, there are articles saying it only lasted 12 hours
Just long enough to prove who they were, what their ISP address was and block them permanently??
🤣😂
Great post CatsFive, thank you.
Horary for censorship?
It also could be an insider that still works with Deepstate that took it down to make Musk look bad.
There are claims it was only down for 12 hours. I am still not sure why though.
Interesting.
Awe, that's some butt hurt there.😭 We should call them a whambulance.😂
A few months ago when there was an internet blackout in Ukraine, /pol/ suddenly had a lot less shill posts.
hmm, i wonder what's going on here?
Bug?
Intentional dropping with EM's ok?
unintentional dropping behind EM's back to frame him "look he hates ukraine"?
I am assuming he’s figured out UKR is a controlled state, and where most the cabal’s fake influencers and bots come from.
big if true
Apologies if this has been answered, but does anyone know how many other countries aren't on that list? Just a thought.
the meltdown of libs is priceless 🤣
Did someone say Ukrainian bot farms?
Because Ukraine is part of Russia
