NYT tomorrow: "Why our crossword puzzle resembled a Japanese manji and is not totally a swastika 😅"
Fun fact: You can tell which is which by the top leg.
If it points left, it's a manji.
If it points right, it's a swastika.
Or they’ll blame it on an AI generated puzzle.
I used to do the NYT's puzzles.
They are all curated by a man named Will Shortz. He's done this since around 1995.
The name is easy to mock, but he's turned his lifelong love of puzzles into a career, so good for him.
Edit: His name is on the damn image. I missed it. That's on me.
The same day Argentina wins the World Cup. Do you know who moved to Argentina after WW2?
The Angle of Death
Would that be the acute angle or the obtuse?
Name checks out.

I’m in no position to dispute this. I do not and would not subscribe to the NYT. But look at this:
https://www.seattletimes.com/games-nytimes-crossword/
That ain’t the same as the picture.

Nor this

But this one has it…I am confused.
The first two links you posted are for Monday the 19th. The nazi one is Sunday the 18th.
Checks out.
If you switch to the 18th (which you can click on there) its not the same. But the last link has it as the picture.
I still don't get it but from the comments, it looks like people are seeing a swastika
IMHO ya gotta squint awful hard to see that...
Looks like a nichtsburger :)
Did you try turning up the volume?
The volume on the crossword puzzle.....?

"Some Theme's Missing" I just saw this. Wish I would have cleverly included it in the title somehow. Dang. Maybe next time.
Desperation…

They continue to think that they can manipulate the “matrix”, but that time has come and gone.

Coincidences or Zeitgeist?
I would say Zeitgeist for sure. Coincidences are for people that are dead inside.
Prob comms of some sort.
I see "comesat" "carpenter" "kneebends"
My guess is a carpenter is coming Saturday, but is he really Jewish?
Bottom across: police reports poutine ones shot deals cadence testy sort a smidgen Oo
Kek! I didn't get it at first, either. It's not the words, it's the image the puzzle forms.

To me, this tells me these people are barely even looking at the crap they are shoveling. Or at least seemingly.
All I can say, is that if there were a secret cabal of Nazi world-plotters, they would be hooting and laughing and hoisting a few tankards to the dimwits who are so obsessed for signs of Nazism that they find them in the designs of crossword puzzles.
NYT is owned and run by smol hat tribe. This is no different than, "Hey, rabbi. Whatcha doin?"
