Ok, since things didn't go well on the other thread about this, I'll start over here.
What am I missing here?
Were people really scared he was going to be arrested for ignoring the subpoena?
Or do you think he won't be able to be charged with a crime at a later date because that subpoena was Withdrawn?
I'm not trying to start an argument or doom or anything like that. I'm simply trying to understand why people think this is such a huge deal.
Let me just lay out some of the basic facts as I understand them and maybe someone could help me see what I'm missing here?
Ok, so:
The subpoena was for him to testify before the J6 committee.
The J6 Committee has already given their final report.
The J6 Committee is largely defunct now.
The J6 Committee withdrew the subpoena (basically like tidying up paperwork, according to them).
It's now up to the DOJ to decide if they will charge Trump with any crimes.
Ok, so what am I missing here?
Seriously, other than people thinking that it's impossible for Trump to now be charged with a crime because a subpoena was withdrawn, I really don't understand this reaction.
Is that it? If so, could someone please explain to me why withdrawing a subpoena to testify in front of a specific committee that is now defunct means he can no longer be charged with a crime?

IF THEY HAD ANYTHING on Trump they would have held him to this subpoena. They would never have dropped it. He would have been made to testify BEFORE the committee and the FINAL report.
This was nothing more than a show like Schiff for Brains did. It is nothing more than noise like the Russian Collusion to keep low information people thinking Trump is corrupt and they got him.
Yes after the committee is done they will bring another investigation or whatever but NOTHING ever happens. It has been endless years of investigation. By now don't you think they should have found something?

I have the same questions but the jubilant reaction IMO is more because the leftists didn't get what they wanted, rather than our side winning something we didn't already have. But I would still qualify this as more winning.
