Because masculinity isn't defined by one set of abilities or personality traits. An artistic kid or nerdy kid can be just as masculine as a jock or gearhead.
I think if as a child I had been forced away from my video games or classical music to do sports or learn "manly" stuff I would have been very bitter or resentful of not just my family but what I was born as.

It's always been a misnomer to hide the fact that straight people are disgusted by homosexuality. There's a difference between fear and disgust. Glad we cleared that up. And while we're at it let's not forget that many gay people are disgusted by heterosexual sex.
If a person is so far gone as to think homosexual sex is a good thing, then I suppose they might find the norm of heterosexual sex, distasteful. But everything about it makes sense, so sadly, their distaste is just another sign of them being off.

I don't believe He ever hates them, even in their sin. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." He didn't die for the purest of the pure, He died for the filthiest of the filthy.
Notice how homosexuality didn't make that list of seven things. I work hard to see them as people that God loves and cares for just like He loves and cares for you and me. Jesus didn't die a torturous death for 'the good guys.' There ARE no good guys. Jesus Himself said there is nobody who is good, only the Father in Heaven is good. (Mark 10:18) My point is, no matter how distasteful that lifestyle might be to you and me, and it certainly is, God still died for them just like he died for us. To me, trying to present His lovingkindness as hate is in itself a form of 'haughty eyes.'

To bring clarity here and some understanding, the oft quoted and paraphrased Proverbs 9:10 -- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. -- contains a mistranslation. Fear should be read correctly as reverence, which brings an entirely different meaning everywhere this is mentioned.
Words mean things, they are the means to understanding.
Not mistranslated, just commonly misunderstood as "fear" has more than one meaning and at the time translated it was a more common understanding in thee contact.
