If you've forgotten last year, you apparently get half a year to celebrate being gay, 4 months for being bipoc and roughly 2 months of marketing for Christmas gifts.
The NHL has been and always will be a garage league. I loved the sport despite the league's flaws. I can't stand watching a frame of the shit anymore with all of the woke garbage it supported recently.
You hockey players make me sick :-). I can barely skate forward ... I can pick up some speed and actually feel a sort of rush while skating ... but I usually have to plow into a wall to stop. I do not have the coordination to throw a frigging dart let alone skate and shoot a puck at the same time :-). I almost killed myself (ok, an exaggeration) while trying to skate backwards once :-). I simply cannot play sports ... I was not meant to do that :-).
I was just thinking I should check out a lot of the other hockey leagues out there. I keep forgetting that there are more leagues than just the big ones.
I used to look forward to baseball in the spring and hockey in the fall ... both sports are perfect for the radio and make for good listening while working. I grew up in SW PA ... Mike Lange called the Penguins games ... he was the best in my worthless opinion ... I would prefer to listen to him than watch a game on TV (not during the Lemieux era though :-) ... he was made for television :-) ).
Speaking of Mario Lemieux, I met him a couple of times ... that guy is as genuine as they come. I once saw him stop for a big group of fans as he was driving away from the Civic Arena ... he sat in his car and signed autographs for anyone there ... everyone got a "thank you for your support" (a genuine one too) and asked if anyone else needed anything signed before leaving. I just walked up, shook his hand, and thanked him for the show he put on over the years (I hate asking for autographs ... just feels tacky).
I miss watching that man play ... he was something else. Same with Gretzky ... man were we spoiled in the 80s/90s :-) .
The true golden age. I started watching hockey more seriously about 1990 as a Red Wings fan. I hit it just right to appreciate what the latter-half of that decade was like for that club. Yzerman, the Russian Five, Probert, Nick Lidstrom, McCarty then Pavel and Zetterberg etc...
Glad to hear Mario was so cool. I used to hate playing the Pens, and the Flyers with Lindros. Great teams back then.
I still try and listen to Tigers games when I am on the lawn tractor even though they are perma-dogshit. Baseball will forever be a passion. I don't recognize much of the MLB game anymore with the ego, language barriers, and showboaty shit like bat flips being encouraged when it used to get you beaned.
That being said, hearing a live call over the air on a late spring day with a doobie while playing catch on the lawn with my wife is just unbeatable. Baseball is Americana and always will be. Hopefully kids still get stoked for little league, and there are sandlots still played on.
How many fucking "pride" days do these degenerates need now?
Until you start sucking dick apparently. They aren't going to stop until everyone is a total faggot.
they are going to ban male female relationships soon
You will have to submit proof you are gay to get student aid......
I don't wanna know how that works.
I don't either..... But you will have to prove your not homophobic........
If they win.
Exactly. They get their own month for having mental illnesses.
Vets get one day…

Seriously! How many Indoctrination Days do we need to witness?
Thank God for this lone warrior.

Lifelong player and superfan. Been going to a lot of OHL games.
They still play real hockey. The "Show" sucks.

It all started when they cucked after the 2004-05 lockout and legalized the two-line pass because fuck defense.
Right? That shit isn't until June I thought.
