I mentioned in another post Trump used "knowingly' to troll Pence for his January 6 inaction, since Pence firmly believed he did the right thing. Sometimes GEOTUS can be subtle.
Pence did do the constitutional thing, or rather more accurately didn't do the unconstitutional thing. This is exactly what Trump knew was going to happen, to prevent giving the Left/DS any excuse to instigate the levels of violence in reality that they maintain happened but didn't. They wanted all out hot civil war, thousands of deaths, any excuse to say "ha see! We told you MAGA was dangerous! Trump attempting a coup! Time to countercoup!"
But they didn't get what they wanted. Why? Because Pence stuck to the script. Played his role. And as Trump implied, had enough courage to not do something
The implication that it would have been unconstitutional for Pence to send the certifications that he knew were fraudulent back to the state legislatures is unsupportable. As Trump has repeatedly said, he definitely could have, and should have, sent them back to the states.
Where in the Constitution is the President of the Senate authorized to "send certificates back to the states"? Support your claim.
Sure, Pence could have attempted to so something of the sort and violate the Constitution...

This is where it started - Italian Carnival 2019. It was NOT a tribute to Trump, it was supposed to be a slap in the face to him and the USA. Instead, we did it the same as "deplorables", took it on and made it ours. There are many videos of this parade, the whole thing is actually quite amazing. I remember seeing one that had commentary, explaining the social and/or political reasons behind each of the floats, but don't remember the link for that one.
I kind of remember that parade but never understood that it was the origin of GEOTUS. I always liked that term.....a term of endearment to me. I highly doubt that any of us truly thought of him as any kind of a god.....therefore no blasphemy. 🤣🐸 Thank you for the reminder about the carnival.
It became obvious that many of the newer pedes did not know where the term GEOTUS came from, and to actually interpret it as we thought he was god made me shake my head in disbelief. When we don't know the full story of an event, it's easy to come to erroneous conclusions.
