These ---- did NOT blow germs at 90 mph everywhere.
They just dried your hands.
The muscle memory from my mind remembers using these as as a kid --- pull, click.
It was more of a pleasant experience.
And we never gave it a second thought about it having germs. So many days I wish for things to be the way they were when I was younger. Unfortunately the world probably always been just as corrupt and I was just not awake but the blue pill is not an option.
For you kids, that's a washable toilet paper roll.
Try a "washable" paper towel roll. We weren't savages...
And as for "washable" - if that was in a gas station bathroom it maybe got washed once a week if they were trying to be clean.
That said....I've been to some rural bathrooms in South Korea around 2012 and they did in fact have literal toilet paper rolls that look like this thing in OP's post. Don't think it was washable though....but I don't really want to know.
It wasn't toilet paper. It was a hand dryer.

Like a non-disposable door knob.
There is still one at a burger joint I go to! I tell them that as long as they have it, I will keep going there.
And nobody there gets sick Ever.

That, eating food off the ground, fruit without washing them, swimming in questionable rivers and ponds, sharing food, drink bottles etc... I honestly never had anything worse then a cold since I was a kid
The 5 seconds rule lol - if you pick it up off the ground in less than 5 seconds, good to eat lol. I'm horrible Grammy, I tell my granddaughter that to this day. 🙈
My rule was if you see anything that stuck to whatever food it and/or you can't wipe it off on your shirt then you leave it. I wouldn't eat something like butter that fell into dust or something...that would be gross 😄
Exactly lol but something like a cracker? Blueberry? Wipe off the dirt (if any) and pop it in your mouth - good to go lol. My granddaughter will spill a cup full of blueberries and wants to throw them away! NOOOO if nothing else - rinse em off in the sink
