I had the terrible misfortunate of attending a Super Bowl watch party with some friends, most of whom were normies and oooohhhing and ahhhhing and acting afool as they salivated over Rhianna's "unbelievably awesome" halftime show.

I was far outnumbered by the normies, so I drank heavily.

I tossed all of my NFL paraphernalia and stopped watching when they started taking a knee during the national anthem. I watch high school football now and it's great.

I dont play on the sportsball team....I could give a fuck if NFL goes bankrupt tomorrow and never plays another game. As for my combat sports love........I can train myself and fight in the gym/sparring.....:D

I get the hate for the NFL but for the sport it self I don't understand. I like to watch football because most of my youth I played football either with my friends or for my schools/pee wee football teams, from 1st grade to highschool. I made a lot of friends and enemies playing football. I loved the fact that it was a team sport and you had to rely on others to be successful and the instances of bring up others who weren't good at the sport. I like the physical nature of football and trying to over come adversity when a bigger better team came into town to play against you, you'd win or lose, but you always took something from those types of games that you could apply to the real world that made you better at life. The cerebral part of football were you adapted as the game went on to fool or out play your opponent, to attack their weaknesses to win the game. Which would later in life serve as a teaching tool to problem solve which would aid you in over coming work/life problems that would arise. I can go on and on. NFL is shit yes but I don't think the game in it self is.

It's actually a practical representation of how people think that those that do something other than what everyone thinks they should are wrong. Much lighter, but same idea. He should be forced to watch. We should only get that one channel so he has to.

I have to wonder if the stupid bowl was the default viewing choice on the plane. Like, people were actually reading, staring out the window or had paid for internet and were staring at their phones, and the airline put the SB on the TV's as a "courtesy". I can't imagine that many people were actually interested. I would be the person jailed (in this twits opinion) and my kids would be too. Whatever. Stupid .
