And reportedly. Most of the major opposition would reportedly die in service of others that night. Isidor Strauss refused a place in a lifeboat so another passenger could take it. Reportedly Benjamin Guggenheim after seeing off his mistress and her maid in a lifeboat reportedly spent time assisting others into boats and helping the crew launch them. John Astor was last seen alive after helping launch the lifeboat containing his pregnant wife and two members of his staff.

An Interesting fact of the disaster. The majority of survivors of the Titanic disaster were Woman and Children.

On a side note. An investigative Journalist W.T Stead who apparently ran a controversial investigative series of articles on Child Prostitution in the Pall Mall Gazette in 1885 was also killed during the sinking. Apparently he was on his way to speak at a gathering at Carnegie Hall under the invitation of Howard Taft. Just a fascinating side note I found while researching the disaster.

It's been a while since I've looked into this, so feel free to fact-check me, but the titanic had five separate hull segments, each separated from one another, to prevent such an accident. if they had smashed into the iceberg head-on, the forward hull would had been lost, but the buoyancy of the other four, in theory at least, would have been able to keep the ship afloat, but because they turned at the last minute, the iceberg actually tore holes in four (three?) of the five hulls, causing them to fill with water, which eventually led to the ship sinking.

For people that don't know. "Titanic" sinking was actually a planned set up. Mostly involving Rothchilds and JP Morgan. The ships lead designer were in on it too.

The Titanic on that night was actually the older sister ship Olympic. They repainted etc.

They were recouping insurance money as well as intentionally offing 3 men who would have been opposed to the formation of Fed Reserve. Two birds.

In 1996 before James Cameron produced/directed the most expensive movie to date, there was info that started circulating about this "conspiracy" from (James A Fenton) it is in my opinion the movie was invented to totally drown out and obfuscate the truth coming out. That is just opinion though. Typical see eye ay programming.

Well … only thing I can say is - they lied and then they lied again - Remember the folks that survived were a controlled and contained group - they likely had a choice!
