Dont be sorry. The US is the only country in the world that allows foreign entities to purchase land. Other countries forbid such sales unless you are a bonafide citizen with "X" number of years under your belt in country. Even then its a tough proposition.
There should be no land for sale to foreign entities at all. Period.
Scottland lets you buy a square foot of land so you can be officially called a "Lord."
There is a video on that where the company that was selling those "lordships" isn't actually legit and Scotland's government stated that they don't give those out anymore if I remember 🤔

I know someone from Africa who had to renew their work visa in order to get their home loan. They got their loan and house 5 years ago. As for owning the land, I like how Hawaii does it. You have to have a valid US birth certificate in order to own land. Their certificate of live birth is not good enough, which is what Obama first showed as proof of citizenship. No foreign entities, people or Corporations should own any of our land! They own Smithfield Farms, and other meat companies! They have a huge impact on our food supply! This is the country that put Melamine in dog and cat food years ago, and was killing our pets. They were going to put it in baby food when they got caught!!
Now make them sell what they have purchased, and make it available to individuals not associated with big corporate farming.
The US should be like Mexico.
