Gathering the materials and then sitting outside for probably an hour or more MAKING and WEAVING a whip together with the express intention of GodSmacking some fools.
Exactly. Premeditated - means it wasn't just on a whim Jesus did it. A whip of cords. Very possible he drew blood as well, or welts, at the very least.
Either way, not enough pastors preach sermons on this specific incident. They'll preach entire sermons on a single verse or sentence, but usually just mention this in passing. Almost if there is a narrative to adhere to.
Yes!! Exact same experience as myself! I love Apologia and Pastor Jeff is, far and away, the most based pastor I've heard preaching thus far. His work with End Abortion Now helped to get Roe v Wade overturned, praise the Lord.
My first intro to Jeff was the sermon he gave about Jesus, weapons, and war. I listen to them every Sunday. Amazing to see their channel grow in just the past 12 months...close to tripling their sub's.
I think this was the church I was going to... We left, but not for these reasons (there were many, but the last was when they shamed us for not getting vaxxed).
I see this propaganda much more clearly now.
I believe my (our) mission from God is to love. I am still working on getting consistent there, but the problem here is having it shoved down our throats and celebrated.
God also told us not to lie, cheat, steal, convet, etc... I can love and forgive someone that does these things- but I don't need to celebrate the act or dedicate everything to it. Uhg.
Never forget that God hates sin. “Love is Love” is a demonic slogan aimed at us to tolerate sin. “God is Love” has been used in the same manner, as if God won’t judge us harshly for our sins because He loves us. Nothing could be further from the Truth. If one word describes God it is the word “HOLY.” And holiness is completely sinless, as Jesus was.
I don’t need to agree with someone to show them love…. But I get the clarification there. I may be expressing myself well… but as i responded in a different comment- I’m still learning. No doubt, I will see layers more to what you’ve said in the future.
Thanks for the support and providing your insights ❤️
I agree very much but let me point out, God told us not to bear false witness but that's not nesc the same thing as lying. I normally don't recommend lying of course but in these crazy times if you need to forge a vax card to save someone's life you are not bearing false witness against anyone. Key word is against, do not lie to create undo hardship on others but if you need to do that to save someone, I think God would understand ;)
Because you are a person of integrity & there was never a need to before. Someone pointed that out to me years ago in defense of a "little white lie." I am not a fan of them, at all but I had to concede that they don't actually break commandments. Now a days, though, I am glad she pointed that out to me.
I don’t even like the little white lies- I don’t do them. If you’re willing to lie about something small, it isn’t much to think you’d lie about something big.
The vaxx though? I would definitely lie there if needed… I don’t put that in the white lie category though.
I’m probably being hypocritical- but in this case I’m comfortable with it.
All through Biblical history, God has taken his revenge. Do not think stuff like this will go unpunished. God is a loving God until he has had enough of the world's bullshit. Jeremiah 5:29
‘Shall I not punish these people?’ declares the Lord,
‘On a nation such as this
Shall I not avenge Myself?
All love is, in fact, God’s love. I agree. Where I disagree with them is redefining love under the disguise of sin. For example, lust and homosexual lust are sin. People who practice that lifestyle are the antithesis of what love is and looks like. But the Left wants to portray our ‘intolerance of sin and lies’ as ‘unloving.’ The more people they brainwash the better will be their illusion of defense. That’s how it starts. Therefore, acceptance of homosexual lifestyles is the gateway drug to embracing and defending the entire LGBTQ+ movement.
At this juncture for humanity, it is critical to have a logical, clear theoretical framework for distinguishing between true love and false/ fallen love.
Love is the most powerful force in the universe. However, it needs to be united with the truth and directed towards God's intention for it, for it to become true love.
Adam and Eve fell and gave birth to false love. They united as husband and wife while still in an immature, fallen state.
When love is twisted towards Satan's purpose, it become fallen or false love. The greatest tragedy in history was that Adam and Eve handed love over to the devil and Satan laid a claim on love, twisting it to his own purpose. Thus, corrupted love has ever been the instrument the devil has used to destroy God's children.
“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.
Malachi 3:17-18 NIV
Asking "What Would Jesus Do" inevitably includes Him bringing a whip into the temple and overturning tables. Progressives tend to forget this.
not just "Bringing a whip into the temple"......

It wasn't until pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church in AZ preached about this in detail that I ever considered it.
That church is based as it gets. https://www.youtube.com/@ApologiaStudios

I love this point, Data.
Jesus made (omg) a weapon!
If Jesus was here today, he'd probably own a handgun factory, or have a disciple who did.
Many fail to realize that although God may get angry at times. He NEVER gets mad.
I think your point is that it's done out of a righteous justification. Mad and Angry are synonymous in some uses of the words.
Righteous anger

Hate the sin Love the sinner
Jesus didn’t abide by the hypocrisy of the elite of the time—-the Pharisees, etc—- who had made up their own rules away from God
What I detest most is that many know they are misleading others and don't care.
Absolutely

I don’t know how I ever missed that nuance- but I did. Thank you fren, for this enlightenment ❤️

...And of course the fakenews have fact checked it...
Do those fools at Jesus Gets Us.
Now do one with Freemason pastors and deacons.
we are allowed to get angry. we are not to sin in our anger.

Very well said
Thanks fren.
Since we are now the Temple, we must ask ourselves what needs to be driven out of our hearts. God chastised those He loves.
