It is dry right now, but the same story was being told last year. As I recall it was supposed to be devastating for the rice crop. In the end, the overall 2022 rice harvest seemed like it was on par with previous years with some areas down and others up.
I am a Hoosier farmer. Yes, we need some rain soon for our corn and beans. The good news is I was out in a field yesterday planting some pumpkins in between corn rows. It’s something my dad suggests every year corn comes up in the rotation.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that less than an inch under the surface the soil still had moisture. Thankfully in no till farming the previous years crop residue basically serves as a mulch and helps slow down the effects of evaporation.
My skepticism on these types of reports is s it serves the narratives of the NWO on climate change and sows fear among people that food supplies will run short. We’ve been hearing that for years now. It’s all about making people afraid to control people. And, don’t discount grain market manipulation. A lot of money is made and moved around trading grain futures.
I get it, grew up on 1,200 acres myself. Droughts of 83 and 88 where family farms were decimated and lost to the bank. My concern is more about the family farmers and their production than it is about the NWO agenda.
Moisture an inch down is great but a week of 90 degree weather without rain will soon dry all of that up when the growing crops need the moisture the most.
While we are getting deluged in Colorado with rain and absolutely no sun. Go figure? If people don't believe weather is engineered, they need their heads examined.
I remember that MP in Alberta talking about a billion dollar rain. HAARP is, apparently, being used for blackmail just like everything. These people are evil. Wonder what they'll extort for rain? Another tranny day/week/month/year or a couple billion?
The YT farming channels I watch have been struggling to plant after such heavy snows of winter, seed plants are just emerging...
None of them are talking drought ...
Northern IN. Haven't had appreciable rain in about a month with very high Temps all last week (90s) my yard is dead wind blows dust everywhere. Haze all this week from the fires to the north. There are significant changes especially coming so praying we start getting consistent rain
Yep, it's been pretty dry out here, though we did get a very brief rain shower but it wasn't enough. Rain is in the forecast this week yet, so here's hoping.
We are indeed brutally dry. I have a creek right behind my house that is barely running. In the past 10 years, I've only seen it like this once, and that was in August. This is a crucial time for the crops to get started. We need rain desperately. We need to pray for rain.
Rain is coming. Just a very dry May.
Let's hope!

Thank you for being a Hoosier farmer!
Great to hear what's actually happening straight from a farmers mouth!

Thankfully we’re getting a little rain today and high temps are staying under 80 the rest of the week.
Great insights for us farmer wanna-bes.

Ugh! Golden foothills here. Frost every morning. Nonstop rain. No sun. It’s ridiculous.

I watch them too....all depends on what part of the country they are in. MN for example had a late snow storm and delayed the spring plant.
Same here for Central Ohio. Few sprinkles here and there but nothing measurable since first few days of May. Grass is already brown....in early June.

I thought this already happened
