Sometimes, just the relationship with an established Comms Vehicle is enough. Billy Ray Cyrus is synonymous with Achey Breaky Heart (death threat against Bush Sr.). Miley Cyrus leverages the same Comm (threat of murder) simply by being his daughter.
If you were not born into a Comms Aware Clown family, but you were deemed intelligent and 'brought into the fold', you would serve the role as a subordinate. I'm reminded of "Vampires" in pop culture.
Something to keep in mind, not every Clown is going to have a full 'vocabulary'. At minimum, they may simply be plants in a local organization that looks for a certain phrase in his local newspaper each week. A subordinate may simply be a guided 'internet troll' (Homestuck webcomic) or Wikipedia editor.
Clowns aren't all going to have the absolutely insane drive to dig into history as DecodingSymbols. But they WILL be more fluent day-to-day due to being taught as children.

The Oakland A's had an elephant mascot at one point, and he tied the losing streak to Trump's court cases.
2 things correct out of 1000 wrong doesn't imply a good trend. Just be cautious from where you get your info. I still contend this guy is just wrong.
