Because they want their employees to smile! Yes! This is what killed me during the covid, there were no smiles, smirks, and other non-verbal facial communication. Felt like mindless robots.

There was one day I actually drove away from IN-N-OUT because I saw some employees wearing masks.
Masks don't stop viruses but they do stop mouth breathers from drooling sneezing or coughing spittle on your food while preparing it. Sort of like hair nets are used to stop hair from getting in your food. They should be allowed but not mandatory for food preparation much like hairnets but don't need to be used at the counter.
Their fries are shit and the burger's mediocre. The only reason they're popular in CO is because CA transplants are brainwashed into thinking it's palatable food.
The fries are awesome, if you want them well done, ask for that. The burgers aren't anything special, but they're reasonably seasoned, always fresh, and the price is reasonable for the number of calories you get.
I agree , I go once in awhile, I have a special needs daughter who likes a burger once a month or every two months , I wont do other fast food places , I feel like this place is a little better, as for me , I had a burger once , I really don’t know what the hype is about . I thought it was terrible , only good part was the extra, extra raw onions thst I ordered on it , the onions made it possible to finish .

If you have to customize the standard fry order for them, then they're not good fries if they can't stand alone. They are possibly the worst fast food fries I've had and that even includes Burger King.

Culvers is a relative newcomer, those who still brag about In an' Out are oblivious that it's long since been overtaken by newer chains.
5 guys is far superior to in n out. They aren't comparable. Plus the fries are ten time better.
I can eat 2 double doubles from in and out no problem but I can only finish one 5 guys burger comfortably.
You pay more because YOU GET MORE....
100% five guys is so much better. I'll pay more for better food.
5 Guys is absurdly overpriced now. Seeing $12 for a burger suddenly made me feel less lazy about just continuing home and cooking for myself the last time I considered stopping at one.
