Tbis is fucking stupid. Putting the kid on the front line? No. You drag your ass in there with a bible. See what happens. Dont put anyones kid in the position to be abused. That IS what would happen.
Hahahah. For me no. I would not have an issue. For the kid, yes. Tryi g to understand how you could challenge anyone else but you start by volunteering SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT.
So like I said. Walk your ass down to a school, whip out the bible and start praying. Do it yourself before you offer up everyone elses child.
We sure believe in the Bible around here, but the point is that kids get bullied at school for being 'different'. Being bullied for toting a bible or being a bible-basher can have far-reaching repercussions. For example, your children might reject the bible, just to fit in. They might become too ashamed to carry it. They might even decide YOU are a tyrant for pulling them into the fight like that. And yes, these things turn into school-yard fights very fast.
If you want to advertise that your kids are Christians give them a small cross to wear if Catholic, or a fun keychain that says something to that effect. But that is all.
This is not the time to make your children into targets.
You're one of many who claim to speak for "we the community" but are only looking out for themselves. Sad, disgusting, cowardly, and fake. I'm not falling for it, you should be ashamed. This post is already working bigly and you can't stop it. LOL.
I'm definitely for it. My kid was telling his friends about church activities in show and tell last year. It was great! Some of the kids weren't too nice after. I was telling him how important it can be to say uncomfortable true things sometimes. He got to find out who the Christian kids are. They all moved on pretty quick, it was kindergarten. I think it was great way to learn to state your opinion and not be ashamed.
Dumb idea. Separation of church and State. If you want people to respect Christianity it's a bad idea to have your kids force it on everyone else. That's not much different that Libs forcing critical race theory (part of their religion) on others. It just causes distrust and resentment.
Separation of church not religion. Damn this is such an issue here! The separation of church was because they didn't want organized religion to run the country. I.e. The pope! Not to remove God from government! God was mentioned several times in one way or another in the constitution. How the hell do we not know this as a community? Especially this community! Sigh!
Children go to school to learn what the teachers are there to teach. Not to be disruptive to that process. If teachers are teaching things we don’t like we should fight to change what’s being taught but we don’t put targets on our kids back or encourage them to be disruptive of regular learning.
no no no, those are limits put on the government not the people.
This response upset me so much, amd the fact that you received upvotes is even worse. I just had a friend tell her child that he couldn't bring the Bible for this reason. We should never ever ever dissuade anyone from bringing/reading a Bible anywhere.
I don't think we should use the tactic OP suggested because we don't want to use our children as tools in any fight. "Dumb idea. Separation of church and state" is even worse than OPs post because it encourages people to vacate their 1st amendment right. I had a Christian friend that also misinterpreted that part of amendment and ended up restricting her son's freedom to bring his Bible.
Part of our task is to break the government indoctrination system and return to one room schoolhouses, which have been scientifically shown to produce better outcomes overall than institutions and individual homes.
Everyone CAN homeschool. I think it's the daycare that is more of the trouble. By banding together and creating a parallel economy, we can make things work among us. Based churches and small neighborhood groups must lead the way.
That argument is wholly incorrect. The law says that government cannot mandate a religion. Never said nor was ever meant to prohibit religion.
Government indoctrination centers, however, were designed by Humanists (look them up, real winners) from the beginning to replace family and church with government and state. They testified before Congress for funding, openly stating these intentions, including to prepare compliant obedient workers for the "inevitable" consolidation with communism.
So if you've got kids in that corrupt institution, you're already sacrificing them to the state moloch. Yes I know we all have circumstances, but understand that book learning only takes 1hr/day at first grade and 15-20min/day each year thereafter. The rest is day care. Always has been.
Simplify your lives, get rid of smart phones and coffee shops and whatever bling you scratch for, and return to your kids. Band together with other families and teach them together; there are all kinds of curricula out there, even free ones like the 1776 Project (download from Hillsdale college).
It doesn't matter who "respects" Christianity LOL. Just the fact that people are getting so defensive and uppity about this proves it's already working. There's no reason to get upset. A child can do whatever they want during free time. If other children don't want to hear it then they can go somewhere else. Reading the bible out loud in a PUBLIC place during your own free time does not infringe on anyone else's rights. Deal with it man, literally cope. Or stay sideways, it's your choice. But either way I recommend you get right with God.
Why would you want to cause others not to respect your religion? Weird bro. If you respect others views, you don't push your personal views on them. Then they respect you. Pretty simple.
I'm not exactly sure what you'll be challenging. Kids are free to read the Bible on their own time in public schools. Public school libraries tend to have the Bible in stock. There are Christian and Bible clubs at many public schools.
I get the feeling that you want to do this because you believe that Jesus/God has been banned from public schools. This isn't 100% true. Public schools are not allowed to show a preference for one religion or another. So anyone that could be regarded as a government employee is not allowed to lead students in prayer or any other religious event.
But students are free to read the Bible during their free time and student-led groups are allowed. There is a popular (if unfortunately named) event called "See You at the Pole" where students gather at the flagpole before school to pray together.
Trying to get kids to make a big deal of reading the Bible out loud during school will most likely backfire. I've seen it happen before a couple of times. After a few days of a kid reading Bible verses out loud, some kid with Atheist parents will send their kid in with the Satanic Bible to read from or a Muslim will bring in the Quran to read from.
And then it escalates from there.
There has been a lot of attention about Bibles in public schools lately because the Bible has been swept up in the book banning going on at many schools. But the bans on the Bible are almost always reversed.
Here's a couple examples of the Bible being pulled from public school libraries.
Dont do this. In fact, GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS ENTIRELY. That is the only good and proper thing for anyone calling themselves a Christian to do to protect your children.
My son worked hard towards his Eagle Scout. He only had one more thing to do- some stupid critical race gender-bender crap. We refused. The troop leaders were essentially begging us to let my son do it and we said no. We eventually compromised by sitting down with a Bible and their “instructor” and comparing every bullet point they had to go over with God’s Word. They actually appreciated us standing up for our beliefs and morals, as they were as sick of all this evil nonsense as well.
I think your idea is great. Just sit in class and read the Bible if the teacher goes off track into Marxist propaganda perversions. Sex education? Just read the Bible while they do it.
BTW, screw all the haters bashing you on this. The Lord wants us to stand up for Him. Was David a coward? Moses? Jesus? Of course not.
While I find the idea intriguing, I don't think we should involve our kids in this.
We must fight for our children, not let them fight for us.
Speak for yourself
I just did.
He wants his kids to speak and act for him. Then tells us to speak for ourselves lol
Don't be so quick to assume you represent a majority. The idea seems pretty popular among users here, got a decent number of upvotes.
Tbis is fucking stupid. Putting the kid on the front line? No. You drag your ass in there with a bible. See what happens. Dont put anyones kid in the position to be abused. That IS what would happen.
You're afraid.
Hahahah.
Calm down man. Either you believe the bible or you don't.

Ad hominem now? Wow what an internet hero.
FAFO. Go ahead and experiment on your kids.
You know nothing about me, BTW.
Your meaningless buzzwords and edgy attitude are boring.
I do. And how would this not be harming the little ones?
let's go to work with our Bibles. I went to work yesterday with the book "The complete guide to the prayers of Jesus"
I'm definitely for it. My kid was telling his friends about church activities in show and tell last year. It was great! Some of the kids weren't too nice after. Good job!

agree!!!!!!

We should not be giving up our kids into the dens of iniquity to begin with.
Homeschooling isn't an option for everyone. I raised mine to see the matrix for what it is.
It's your right to read your own book in a public space and doing so does not infringe on the rights of others.
I am aware
That argument is wholly incorrect. The law says that government cannot mandate a religion. Never said nor was ever meant to prohibit religion.

You sound like leftist parents who use their children as weapons and tools for activism. We don't do that here.
Just another "we" comment that I'm not falling for. Yawn.
Why would you want to cause others not to respect your religion? Weird bro. If you respect others views, you don't push your personal views on them. Then they respect you. Pretty simple.
I had a child in my 4 th grade class bringing a Bible last year. Public school in midwest. She read it with friends.
I'm not exactly sure what you'll be challenging. Kids are free to read the Bible on their own time in public schools. Public school libraries tend to have the Bible in stock. There are Christian and Bible clubs at many public schools.

Public school libraries DO NOT typically have the bible, that is such a lie!
No, it's not. It can often be found in the reference section.

73 upvotes seem to disagree with you thus far.
They don’t have to be mutually exclusive. I agree with both of you. 😉
No
Better yet - get your kids out of public schools.
My son worked hard towards his Eagle Scout. He only had one more thing to do- some stupid critical race gender-bender crap. We refused.
