Maybe you're remembering How It's Made; Milk videos? I know up north where it gets in the single digit temperatures, cows winter indoors.
And, unfortunately, they're messy animals that shit and piss where they happen to be, so any dairy farmer that wants a profit is going to do their best to take good care of the animals.
I agree. Unfortunately people do not acknowledge factory farming, which is a blight on America, along with GMO crops. Factory farming is disgusting and terrible. It didn't use to be that way. I want cows to live a happy life before they become food. Unfortunately, too many of them are cramped into pens and forced to eat corn rather than grass as they are meant to, being given harmful growth hormone injections simultaneously with antibiotic injections to fight infections that the hormones give them.
...here in Brazil they do!

A lot of the folks here don't really know about it. But you are completely correct.
You said most. Most meat that most people eat comes from cows that did not live in any free range situation like you see from the road all the time. But the feedlots that confine the cows in extremely overcrowded and disease ridden industrial processing environments, aren't usually visible from the highways.
Cows eat grass and fart, just like vegans.

Saw this in the Northern part of Michigander....the damn farm fields are covered with these damn things...OH...and in the winter...they don't turn because they might be frozen...AND when they DO TURN the blades can ONLY turn so fast because the bearing wear out faster in the housing....

Plants and trees are nature's solar energy collectors, and are much more efficient and eco-friendly than solar panels. Huge fields of solar panels are only suitable for outright barren environments like the desert or tundra. Otherwise, it's better to simply plant, harvest, and process vegetation biomass into fuel and food.
It never ceases to amaze me that “these people” don’t seem to realize that the environment did just fine with millions and millions of buffalo roaming across America. But cattle Bad. 🤦♀️

Every time I pass a solar or wind farm I think to myself … I don’t want to live here. They ruined NW Michigan with wind farms. Can’t wait for them to go away.

The fact that a.lot of them who read this immediately had second thoughts about cows being bad tells you how brainwashed they are.
I live in a rural area where the county board is trying to pass a rule to limit solar panels to 1% of county acreage. The people here are against it. Solar companies are spamming me and framing it as a “property rights” issue. To me, allowing your property to be used for solar panels is damaging the property values of your neighbors while ceding your property to corporate and govt control. A neighboring county has miles and miles of solar farms and they turn absolutely pristine rolling hills into a creepy hell scape.
