Unpopular opinion here: Even Leviticus says that crickets, grasshoppers, and locusts are clean foods. I don't want to be told I have to eat them, but I don't think they're going to hurt anybody.
Granted, the world was different back then. Not as many chemicals in the soil, micro plastics, and made made diseases and parasites. Bill Gates modifying mosquitoes and the Pentagon creating Lyme's disease in ticks is an example. Not saying those are edible bugs just saying how bugs have changed.
I've eaten fried insects as a common beer snack when I lived in SE Asia during the 80s. I don't think they're dangerous but we shouldn't be forced to eat them.
You may eat those that have legs with joints above their feet so they can jump. 22 These are the insects you may eat: all kinds of locusts, winged locusts, crickets, and grasshoppers. 23 But all other insects that have wings and walk on four feet you are to hate. 24 Those insects will make you unclean, and anyone who touches the dead body of one of these insects will become unclean until evening. 25 Anyone who picks up one of these dead insects must wash his clothes and be unclean until evening.
Mensurating women were also treated as unclean and weren't allowed to touch another human or their belongings while they were "unclean" or it would make others "unclean" and were practically banished during that time. Pretty sure no one today makes their wife pitch a tent in the backyard for a week each month. And no one today wants to eat bugs.
Or just recognize the difference between the laws of man, and the laws of God. “the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).

False. The human body cannot digest chiton and large amounts of it cause cancer.
Then there are the parasites that grasshoppers and particularly crickets carry.
Thats why frogs are revered in ancient cultures, they eat locusts so we dont have to.
Frog legs are pretty tasty.
Agreed.

Chitin or chiton? I think there is a difference between them.
The correct spelling is chitin. Chiton is a nonexistent word. Probably just a typo by Prometheus.
Chiton is a type of mollusc. Didn't even want to search before pronouncing something as not being a word?
He didn't misspell; he chose the wrong word.
Chilton car manual hehe

Lol! I guess I was right on when I said it was unpopular. You people are too much!

Dang we should tell Q the Bible isn't real so they can stop asking for prayers and relying on God 😔

I don't want to eat bugs, but John the Baptist survived on Locusts and wild honey.
This. Every one of these threads I comment we need to let the cricket thing go...I'm about to comment again
