Many may not agree with my understanding of Jesus Christ & God our Father in Heaven. Though I am convinced that God will judge all by what they understood to be true. Jesus attoned for all individuals in the garden of Gethsemane & allows for anyone to partake if they choose to do so.
1 Corinthians 15:29 clearly lays out that baptism by proxy for the dead can happen to allow those who have passed on without that sacred ordinance to be allowed to participate in the acceptance of Jesus even after their death if they choose to do so.
Ultimately we are all children of a loving Father in Heaven who would love for every one of his children to choose to love one another & return to him someday.
I look forward to the day when we all recognize that peace is the prize & Jesus is the prince of peace. If another individual just cannot bring themselves to accept Jesus as the leader of peace, though are willing to work towards a peace filled world, I am happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this global war & advocate for them if allowed during judgement.
If for some reason my understanding of this afterlife is wrong & that same friend was correct, I would hope they advocate for me as a misguided soul who did their best with the information I had during this life.
It has been almost 20 years since I have read a printed English version of the Koran/Quran which still sits in my library. There are some great truths in there & I love the messages espoused by the Imam of Peace. Personally I believe that Issa in the book is Jesus. Then again I also believe Wakea, Quetzal-Coatal, Cheezoos, Yama & any other name that ancient peoples have for our Savior is whom Christians call Jesus.
We have had this global war against truth going for millenia & we will see how closely related we all are when the full truth is exposed.

I have a very hard time with the concept of "Hell" personally & figure that any eternal "punishment" is simply more of a natural consequence thing. Individuals that just want to rest & not experience further challenge & growth after thus life are "damned" or stopped from further progress because they do not want to do what is required for more progression.
Think of it like an individual who doesn't want the responsibility of driving & the potential hazards that come with moving a lethal object through a city. I have a hard time believing that God would make them get a lisence & a vehicle, along with the insurance, cost of fuel, & the necessary upkeep tasks involved with it. Those people will have less freedom/choice due to the inability to move around, but it isn't a punishment so much as a choice to live with less potential. Though walking around in Heaven would still be much better than living in a world filled with lies & others tearing each other down in an attempt to be the top dog so to speak.
I figure we will end up where we would be the most comfortable to live out the rest of eternity, doing the work or relaxation that we want to & will be happy there.
The concept of Damnation for me is simply being blocked from progressing further due to our own choices & if we are comfortable with the results, then is there really any problem?
Granted many Christian friends of mine think I don't have it right & I figure they just do not understand what I have come to believe. I could certainly be wrong, though my personal experiences have given me reason to continue this course of belief.

I lift up my friend to you right now, and ask your father to soften his heart, and open his mind to the truth of your salvation. I pray that he would diligently seek you, Lord, and that you would present yourself to him in such a miraculous way, that he would not be able to doubt your existence. Help him to understand who you are, and the gift of eternal life that you offer him. Help him to know that this interaction between he and I, was not an accident, but you reaching out to him.
