"We don't want a war. We need to come to terms with reality. It's best to negotiate an end to this thing. Solve the problem. Military power is not the answer.
They've already killed more than two thousand Arabs in Gaza. They already killed the 1500 Hamas fighters that found their way into Israel. So the people that perpetrated most of the atrocious crimes are dead. Citizens in Gaza paid a terrible price. Collective punishment doesn't work very well. Historically collective punishment breeds new enemies. The enemies don't vanish, they get worse. Hamas is not so much people as it is an idea. It is an idea made much more attractive by the brutality meted out to them in the aftermath of these attacks. It's easy to recruit people when their families are killed when their homes are destroyed. Getting the rest of the region involved is not a problem. If Gaza is subjected to the kind of punishment that Netanyahu wants to bring out, the Egyptians are going to have a tough time staying out of it. If they get involved in it, you're going to see everyone else pile on. We don't want it. We can't afford it. We are bankrupt. There has got to be another way..."
Do you agree with his analysis?
MacGregor was somewhat of an advisor to Trump. Trump would have made him part of his administration but MacGregor would not have made it past Senate confirmation. Why? The Military Industrial Complex. His first order of business would have been to give about 40 four stars their walking papers and get out of, or drastically drawn down on NATO. MacGregor was going to use a big ax to clean out the command structure of the military. The powers that should not be were not going to allow that to happen. MacGregor was a huge threat. If Trump would have returned to the WH, MacGregor was going to be involved in a serious way.
Recess appointment, or fire the 1st SECDEF and appoint MacGregor as acting SECDEF. If he wants to use MacGregor in the Scaramucci model he doesn't need to be there very long to accomplish what Trump needs. Eventually the Senate would vote him out but it could take a while if it is timed right.
I had also thought of the Scaramucci model. But, I don't think MacGregor is onboard given what he feels must be done to get our military back to some assemblance of a national defense force. That will take time. I do think that MacGregor is willing to be an advisor in some capacity like he was before Trump left.
Every time Trump tried to inject MacGregor into his administration he would get cut off at the knees by NeoCon Jews. Why ?? Because Macgregor is a straight shooter and since Israel is involved in our foreign policy he would make criticism about Israel if it was called for. THIS is why Macgregor was not groomed to be a General. He would have been a great General, and yes, Sec Def as well. But NO ! We can’t have someone who thinks critically and speaks his mind about sacred cows.
Yeah, the Hamas situation has really worked on a lot of otherwise normally awake people. Dan Bongino is almost unlistenable lately. He's emotionally stuck on the false dichotomy that the only way you can be against the atrocities committed by Hamas (whatever % is real vs. staged - hard to know the exact breakdown) is to completely be for whatever the state of Israel needs to do to defend itself to wipe out all the savages (basically meaning all the Palestinians).
This kind of bloodlust is exactly what the synagogue of satan schemes to create by orchestrating both sides of all of these pre-war events throughout history.
He is right. Basically what he is saying in a nice way is the United States shouldn't be sucked into defending Israel and their war at all cost. Its a no go for the United States.
We need to get out of the Middle East. Out out out! Take care of USA first.
Why does the world continue to give ear to war mongers over wise men like him?
Because humans, at their most 'basic' level, are animals.
And are prone to give in to their more 'baser' desires and instincts.
Kill or be killed. Eat or be eaten. Reproduce like existence ends tomorrow. At a base level, it feels good to kill. To assert dominance and power over the life of another being or creature. Because it means you live another day, and they do not. They can no longer threaten you. They can no longer compete for resources like food, water, land, and mates.
Wise men tell people things they often do not wish to hear. A prophet is often despised in his homeland, no?
It feels good to win. Even beating another at a chess match raises a male's testosterone level, and provides a rush of dopamine. War is culturally ingrained in most worldviews. That's where heroes are made. "All's fair in love and war" and "the object is not to die your country, but to make the other guy die for HIS country". We've made war into games, from ancient chess to Call of Duty, laser tag, and paintball. We even prep for it, and fetishize weaponry (which is admittedly cool) and consider females that know how to properly wield said weaponry more fit and desirable than those who shun the tools of violence.
It feels bad to lose. To be told we need to change, or that the way we look at things is wrong. Wise men's words tend to fall on ears that prefer to hear how wonderful we're doing and how great things are. But that's often not the reality.
That is why, whether due to one's belief in a higher power or simply out of one's noble and altruistic desire to differentiate themselves from the beast, we should strive to rise above the animal realm. To be better. Because we can BE better. Because we can (and should) listen to those wise men. It doesn't matter if they're religious or not, old or young, rich or poor, etc. Wisdom is wisdom.
Are we the animals? No. At least we try not to be. We prepare, train, collect weaponry, and we stay awake, alert and aware because we know that the dividing line between beast and man is very, very thin. We know it takes little provocation to turn men into monsters. And we know many men already ARE monsters - always have been, and most likely they always will be.
These monsters, these beasts, are subhuman. These are the terrorists who revel in the taking of life. These are the warmongers who gladly send our sons to die for their political machinations. These are the members of the military-industrial complex who happily produce the gears of war, and profit in blood.
They have failed to rise above the animal realm. And when it's time to deal with them, they will be put down like the beasts they are. And we'll think no more of it than we do of putting down a rabid wild dog, as it is merely what must be done. But we'll take no pleasure or joy in it. We'll know what it is like to step over a thousand corpses and remain good men.
But until that time, we will strive for peace while preparing for the seemingly inevitability of war.
I’m 67, Israel been at war forever. What I remember is PLO. Founding. At its first summit meeting in Cairo in 1964, the Arab League initiated the creation of an organization representing the Palestinian people. The Palestinian National Council convened in Jerusalem on 28 May 1964. After concluding the meeting, the PLO was founded on 2 June 1964. Then I remembered Third Arab–Israeli War, was fought between Israel and a coalition of Arab states (primarily Egypt, Syria, and Jordan) from 5 to 10 June 1967. Then Israel and PLO killings of children, women men on both sides. Tons and tons of USA tax monies to both sides. Both sides address as boogie man. The news media “Played” the citizens of USA on both sides to love hate Israel, love hate PLO. Now the new boogie man in town is Hamas and Islamic Jihad are not part of the PLO, which has been the negotiator in past rounds of direct peace talks with Israel. The PA governed Gaza but Hamas took full control there in 2007, ousting PA security forces in bloody street battles. War pays the bills, politicians Swiss bank accounts, News pays the bills, TV executives Swiss bank accounts. Here is some free advice for you girlies that want everything your way to stop the madness of drafting you, enact a law all politicians daughters, wives (senate, congress, governors, state local) must go first.**** The US government has provided more aid to Israel than it has to any other foreign country since World War II. The US has sent Israel a total of $158 billion (not adjusted for inflation) in bilateral assistance and missile defense funding since 1948, stolen from U.S. tax payers* The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) provides financial support to the Palestinian people for various development and humanitarian projects. Since 1994, the United States has provided more than $5.2 billion in aid to Palestinians through U.S. AID, stolen from US tax payers
Your welcome.
I was asking my wife yesterday, "when did this Colonel suddenly become the go to guy for military interviews? I don't remember him but he's all over lately.
I'm glad I listened. I'm grateful to MacGregor for articulating a sensible position towards this contrived conflict, that I will now adopt. Both sides have killed. Now negotiate peace. Our country has been giving Israel more foreign aid than any country, for years. What have they done with the money? Did their military lift a finger to prevent Hamas from attacking their citizens? Nope. Why is it our job to get involved in a conflict now?

Trump should make him Secretary of Defense, heads would roll!

It's happening g anyway. Many commands removed for loss of confidence.
👌👌

Bongino still has two feet in 5he matrix waste deep. Or, he's part of the problem on purpose. Thinking for oneself needs to become a skill again.
Israel could end the hamas problem in the time it takes to stop their funding. They want a big war. From a vet, just say no.
👍
MacGregor is pretty good on a lot of topics, he posts on his youtube channel pretty often. Worth checking out.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of the “less than 10” people ;)
