Yeah - my wife did that one time. She decided (at around 10pm) to mix pool chemicals in a 5 gallon bucket in our kitchen about 15 years ago. At the time we had 5 foster kids, my own 2 kids, a dog, and a blue and gold macaw in a 6 foot tall cage. All of us spent about an hour out front in the cul-de-sac on lawn chairs (with the bird in the cage beside us) while the fire department used the giant fans to air out the house.
The best part though was that one of the foster kids snuck out earlier, and while we were sitting there in the road the kid drove up in someone else's car (after the FD let the car in). The look on his face was priceless - busted!
