I think it is of no consequence to our faith. The Bible and Jesus are the story of Gods relationship with Humans. If God created other creations on other planets it does not take away from Gods relationship with us as humans.
Agreed. If God wants to do "X" then God may very well in His own right do "X." God doesn't need to pass it by me first in order to let's say, create life millions of lightyears away in this vast incredible universe He spoke into existence. It's like finding a Jellyfish and saying "well God didn't tell me he created THIS one!" and getting mad about it.
Belief in the Trinity is a requirement to be a Christian. How can there be a Trinity if there is a savior for every alien species that God supposedly created? Unless of course Jesus Christ goes to every alien world and appears to them as they appear. But then Jesus Christ isn't fully God and fully Man. He's fully God, fully Man, and fully Martian.
It just doesn't work.
Well, now you're getting into the extra terrestrials having souls and needing salvation because they have fallen. That again, because I don't know 100% yes or no, falls completely into God's realm and I'm not going to chastise the thought simply out of fear of mocking God if for instance He has Christians millions of light years away on another planet. It doesn't minimize what Jesus did for us, and God doesn't have to check in with me to make sure what He's doing is able to be processed in my small insignificant brain.
I really think it's a non issue in the grand scheme because we are simply unable to do anything about it if it were true or false.
Space has always been mesmerizing to me and it will never cease to amaze me how beautiful and amazing it is out there.
“….is a requirement to be a Christian.”
😂
Jesus Christ did not write the bible and Jesus did not found Christianity.
The Roman Empire founded the church and was in control of what was allowed in the bible.
This is poppycock.
Council of Nicaea. 325 AD.
Since you don't explain why I have to assume that you're just triggered.
Matt. 16:15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
I love this exchange have you ever done a word study on it? Petra vs Petros. Peter (Petros) means small rock or piece of stone the "Rock" his confession (Petra) is a massive boulder. Peter goes on to be a wonderful man save for denying Christ but everyone of them forsook Him. However this verse does not confirm Peter in a position above any of the other disciples / apostles at the time. But merely the power in Confessing Jesus as Christ and all that comes with it: belief, repentance, and baptism.
Yeah, no. If anything the councils that determined what books were inspired and which were not excluded many false books that were known Roman Empire creations meant to cause division among the Christians. Now people call these “the lost books” but they were never lost, they were known frauds even AT THE TIME. If the Romans were in control they would have included such books.
Q posts can be wrong. Military intelligence isn't all knowing. And they could also be right but misattributing real UFOs as belonging to space aliens when it's just demons.
A God great enough to create this world is certainly great enough to create as many other worlds as there are stars.
By the way, who translated the original bible to English? Think they could have changed a few things to appease the Earthly powers of their time?
No, I find it hard to believe that among all the numerous English translations that every single one of those different authors lied about that.
Surely at least one would have created a faithful translation. But the idea that none did? Too big a leap to make and to then still claim that they were good Christians all in pursuit of truth while they were happily breaking one of the 10 commandments.
The word for “world” there is “Kosmos” (cosmos/universe).
Were those understood as different back then? What did the authors intend to convey?
The Bible is quite clearly all about Mankind, not alienkind.
That’s like saying “because the Bible is about humanity it doesn’t speak about angels/messengers.”
Firstly, the Bible is completely centered on Mankind.
Secondly, It is unreasonable to compare humans and any other created thing, due to the uniqueness of humans.
Following this, it is unreasonable to assert that a comparable species to Mankind exists living on other planets.
There isn't a shred of evidence that there exists a comparable species to us. The angels aren't. Other animals aren't. To discount our uniqueness within the creation is to discount the way the Bible is written.
And to allude to some idea of each species having their own Christ and their own Bible centered on them, while not inherently unreasonable, is completely theoretical and unsubstantiated. There's no reason to think it's true, at least not any more so than to think that "aliens" are just demons.
Do you think all aliens are demons?
Yes.
Exception could be made for an "alien" that sings the praises of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those ones might be angels.
